How do I replace the passenger side, low beam bulb om my 2006 Trailblazer?
There are not two rods, there are two clips one under fender weild and one right above the light on top of the cover. Pull up on these two clips and pull the light forward a couple of inches and remove the dust cover. You have to take the air filter cover off to be able to reach in and replace the light. It took me about 10 min to figure these out but hope it helps out.
There are two slides accessed at the top of the headlamp assembly - they slide up, this allows the headlamp to move forward about two inches only to pop the rubber dust cover off. the bulb can be removed and the new one put in put the new bulb in the socket partially before connecting the wire, twist into socket, replace cover, reinstall slides and done in two minutes
There should be two rods holding the headlight in place and you just lift them up and the headlight will come out. you take the old headlight out and replace it with the new one and put the headlight assembly back in. I hope that helps.
Take the air cleaner off for the pass side. take the battery out for the drivers side, after raising the two retaining clips. the operation is still a pain it the!! Leroy

Thanks, so much. I had a little trouble with the "rod" under the fender, but I finally got it. All is well, again thank you...
Again thanks for the advice. I agree "clips" may have been a better term, but I figured it out. I was able to the passenger side (the bad one) without having to remove anything else. Again, thanks for taking the time to advise.
