Transmission service: 2004 Audi A4 CVT

I found a kit to do this online. However, it seems that the CVT engine 1. Does not have an oil pan to drain and remove, 2. The transmission fluid filter is not the right size (on a CVT engine, I was informed, the Transmission Fluid Filter is built into the Transmission Line).
How do I perform, what should be, this relatively simple service?

Take it to a technician, these can only be serviced with a system flush unit.

SOURCE: How to fill the tranny oil in 97 Audi A4 Quatro

You have to refill it using a small funel through the dipstick hole. Thats how it's been for years. I wish they would think of a way to refill these things in some other way.

SOURCE: fill transmission fluid on 19999 audi a4

LISTEN CLOSE. THERE IS A PLUG ON PAN. REMOVE IT. WITH A SYRINGE TYPE CANISTER YOU NEED TO INJECT THE FLUID INTO IT UNTIL IT STARTS TO COME OUT. THEN CAREFULLY START VEHICLE AND INJECT ANOTHER 3/4 QUART UNLESS IT STARTS TO COME OUT OR EVEN A QUART.LET IT RUN FOR 5 MINUTES THEN CONTINUE TO INSERT UNTIL IT OVERFLOWS AND TIGHTEN THE PLUG BACK TO THE PAN. i WOULD ONLY USE AUDI VOLKSWAGON FLUID AND YES IT CAN RUN $14 TO $18 A LITER

SOURCE: Where is the Audi A4, 2006 Multitronic (CVT)

The computer usually sits on the wall next to the driver's legs, but yours could be under the seats, or under the dash, that one I don't know, but it should be kept dry, not under the hood. The valve body is in the transmission. It is accessible from underneath, just under the filter, or on top I should say, holds all your shift solenoids etc.

TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE

I have a 2004 R2 - CVT fluid is to be changed every 40,000km. I've changed mine once already. Taking the drain plug out of the transmission pan drains 2-3L. New fluid is added to the CVT 'dipstick' tube, which is just behind the radiator with a black plastic head on the dipstick. A local CVT specialist sold me type NS-2 fluid, which has been working well for 12,000km. I also changed the filter on top of the transmission with a WIX 51365 which my autoparts shop found using the OEM filter part number. Hope this helps!

I have a 2004 Audi A4 1.8L and was wondering where the oil drain plug is located

Regardless of make and model, the drain plug will always be located at the lowest point of the oil pan which is the lowest part of an engine.
