Have changed bulbs, fuses, relays, switch at handbrake, and headlight switch. Lights usually come on when handbrake is released but now will not come on even when light switch is turned to low beam lights. High beam lights work as do turn signal lights and all other exterior lights. Want to replace daytime running light relay but unsure of how to remove it or its location.
I know this is not your problem, but my low beam stopped working, both bulbs failed, no burn marks or broken element. Just had to tell someone
I have e-mailed you 2 .pdf files, one is the complete headlamp diagram, and the other is the relay locations. Please advise if you need further assistance.

Hi Toyota Ed, could you please em,ail me the headlamp diagram and relay location for a Prius 2010? I need to replace the lowbeam relay for driver's side, the bulb is brand new. All lights work and passenger side low beam works too. [email protected]
Toyota Ed, are you still out there? I have a 96 LS400 and it keeps blowing out the relay when I activate the high beams. Any thoughts here?

SOURCE: Low beam headlights don't work
The problem is in the high beam switch assembly which also houses your
turn signals and possibly cruise control, and yes, I'm sure. There are some electrical
contacts in the assembly which dis-connect the low beams when you put
the high beams on. Constant use of the high beam switch will create
arcing on the low beam switch which makes the contacts not conduct
electricity anymore. The daytime running lights send power to the low beams on a separate circuit. .
The repair is to either replace the
assembly, $300 at dealer, $100 or less do it yourself, or take the
assembly apart and clean it for free. (2 hours or less)

P.S. If you own a VW, especially around model years 1999 to 2004, there
is a rare but devastating problem with engine coolant being literally
pumped through all electrical parts of your car.... destroying it.
Repair cost = $8,000. It is called coolant migration. Check your VW
right now (takes two seconds, literally), and do a two-minute procedure
to fix your car to prevent the problem here:

Toyota Ed,
I have added new low beam headlights. The main question that I have is, Where is the Daytime Running Lights relay located in the car ? So I can replace it. A diagram would be perfect. Also would like to find the relay alot cheaper than the $218.00 that the dealer wants.

I have a 2000 Corolla. The low beams are very dim. At night the DTRL comes on when I start the car. When I turn on my lights there is no difference on the brightness of the head lights. When I put on the hig beams it is brighter. I noticed in the fuse panel under the hood that the headlights have a 10 amp fuse and the cover says it should be a 15 amp.
Why are the low beams so dim almost like there is no difference from the DTRL.
Thanks
I also need the headlamp diagram... [email protected]
The daytime running lights use the High Beams at 6 volts. The DRL module is not your problem. Are you sure that you have looked at the low beam bulbs? They are seperate from the high beams. They are on the outer sides of the headlamp housing, not real easy to see. Please advise.

headlights or high beams not working
2001 Oldsmobile intrigue low beam exterior lights will only shut off when car is shut off
blinkers and everything work fine.. and it switches between high and low beams fine too.. the headlights just stay on permanantly
Passenger side bright beam headlight does not come on when both bright lights should be on. Oddly, that particuliar bright light does come on dimly as a daytime running light. All fuses are good. Both headlight relays seem to be ok when I interchange them. Not sure what dimmer relay is supposed to do but it appears to work. Any suggestions?
when turning on the light switch, parking light does not turn on but will turn on the headlights
even with the keys out off the egnition they dont shut off i need to take the low beam fuse out to shut them off.
One head light different they the other on low beam
Help please, Have a 1993 Toyota Camry executive. My problem is I have no low beam headlights and when you push the storm on the steering column forward for high beam nothing happens. When you pull the storm towards you all lights will light up. I've checked the relay at the LHS of the car and even replaced it but without success, I've also replaced the headlight stork with another and still no RESULTS, I'm at a total loss any ideas would be appreciated.
