Will not crank how ? When you turn the key to the start position does the starter engage and spin the engine ? , A crank no start condition . Or nothing happens . A no crank - no start condition . I assume by your statement ( Had ignition control module tested ) That you have a crank no start condition . in which case have you tested input from the crank sensors to the ICM and PCM . What engine does your Old's have ? 3.8 L
Is there spark at the coil's ? Pull plug wires off of the same coil , have someone crank the engine over , Is there a spark jumping from one coil tower to the other ? If so , you don't have an ignition problem , fuel more then likely . Is your SECURITY light lit on the instrument cluster , if it has anti-theft .
you mean it wont crank, it must crank to start. 1: bad starter system 2: weak battery even a new battery can be weak. if you dont charge it first. or if it starts ok then wont later, that means cars charge system failure.
can you jump start engine? with jumper cables. that be a big clue there, proving starter works but battery was weak. if the battery is fully charged. you can hot wire the starter solenoid, (tiny terminal) if car cranks now, the key start wire is failing. A/T or M/T tranny? both use different path here....??????
if you cant hot wire it, then that means the stater is bad the cables bad or the battery is not really connected. or possible the engine is seized, can you hand turn over the engine at the front crank bolt (CW , facing rear, in neutral) if not motor is seized. some times even the starter and rig gear can be seized. the starter can be bench tested. too. http://www.fixkick.com/nocrank.html
3.8 are known for ignition trouble but first use the fuel release valve located on top of engine under a screw cap to see if your getting fuel. It takes 4 things to make engine run fuel spark air and compression. But most likely the Ign control module or crank sensor. So try this 1) check the fuel pressure 2) check for spark 3) compression test
