The cigarette lighter on my 2000 Volvo S70 doesn't work. I already tried replacing the #30 fuse (20 amps), but the lighter still doesn't work.
Someone told me that there is another fuse behind the dashboard, but I cannot find it. Can you tell me where the fuse may be and what type of fuse it is?
Or, if you think this could be another problem.

I don't own a volvo so no. Does the cd changer work ?
If not then that fuse needs to be replaced. as your dealer was kind enough to give you a hint (check the fuses on each side of the #30 fuse). and replace if necessary.

Thanks for your response. The radio in the car is a regular volvo radio. There is a CD changer in the trunk though. One volvo dealer told me there is supposed to be another fuse undre the dashboard beside the #30 fuse. Have you heard about that?

Do you have an aftermarket stereo installed. as the radio is usually on the same fuse. they may have taken the power from it to power the radio.
