SOURCE: 2001 Pontiac Bonneville won't start
have you not left any load on overnight?..like park light or left the door partially open and the dome light would be left on?
have the battery recharge and the next night, make sure that no light would be left on the car.
if it would drain out again, have it recharged again, use it and on the night, make sure no light is left on the car, then remove the positive pole on the battery overnight.
the next morning, put the positive cable back and start the car.
if the car would start, then no problem with the battery, if the car would not start, then return the battery because it is defective.
tnx 4 using fixya,

try starting your car and letting it run for a min disconnect the bat and if it dies then you need to find a bad wire or a bad ground to the alternator. something might not be telling it to put out any power to re-charge your batt
SOURCE: battery dead - can i replace it w/ any 12v or does it have to be volvo?
The worst thing to do to a battery is to put a boost charge on them. A trickle charge is best. yes you can change it yourself just replace it with the same group size that you have. Most places that sell batteries will charge you a core fee if you don't bring in the old one. just take the old one in & the store should be able to match it.
SOURCE: Everything works great..However periodicaly radio
the radio is pulling down the battery, check to make sure it is install properlt, also make sure your battery is not weak, because remember the radio draws power at all time, to keep the time and your preset radio station. so check the battery for proper strenght first please.
