Car won't start. All batteries are new.

I have an intelligent key. When i press the brake pedal to start the car the brake pedal feels tight and hard to push. When i push the start button the light comes on on the dash for the key. The battery is new in the intelligent key.

I had exact same problem, car battery and FOB battery are fine. AAA came and had to tow it to Nissan dealership. They replaced bad steering wheel lock on my 2010 Cube with 26,500 miles. Ended up costing me 800 bucks with tow, labor and parts. I've read other complaints regarding this in Cubes and other Nissan vehicles. Nissan should pay for this as it is obviously faulty.!!!!

Had exact same problem with my 2010 Nissan Cube with 26,500 miles on it ( 3 year warranty is up), AAA ended up towing it to Nissan dealership, They replaced stearing wheel lock. $774.24. Nissan should pay for this, I have read many other people have had this problem. It is obviiously a defect.!

SOURCE: Nissan Sylphy Intelligent-Car Remote Controller Not Working

Hi,
Some key fobs are coded and if this is so you will need to take it to your Nissan dealer with all details of the vehicle i.e. Log book/title and vin number proof of ownership. There may be a small charge for this.
Good Luck!

SOURCE: my brakes are locking up on all four wheels on my 04 sentra.

Your brake light switch is adjusted in all the way and is pressing on the brake pedal. This causes the brake to be slightly applied. As you drive the vehicle the brake fluid heats up and expands, the brakes will apply more and more until you see the smoke. Bottom line: your brakes are always applied at the master cylinder because something(usually the brake light switch) is out of adjustment.

SOURCE: 05 Altima, car will not go when the accelerator is pressed

Have you had the battery and alternator checked yet? If not, you should. It may be that the control units connected to the CAN aren't being supplied the correct voltage(too low) to operate properly.

CAN COMMUNICATION
System Description
CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time application. It is an on-vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Many electronic control units are equipped onto a vehicle, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2 communication lines (CAN H line, CAN L line) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring.
Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads required data only.

1975 Ford F350 360 Engine the brake pedal stop 2 Inches from the floor is that good pedal?

Your better off going by the feel of the pedal rather than measurements. Try this. With the engine off and the brake system cold remove the key from the ignition and pump the brake pedal. it should get progressively harder and your foot travels a shorter and shorter distance until its too hard to press.
Press and hold the brake pedal hard down then start the engine. You should feel the pedal soften, that's the vacuum inside the brake booster kicking in.
Release the pedal and again press it hard down, holding it there. The pedal should feel firm and not change. Release and repeat to make sure.
If the pedal has no resistance check your work as there is no pressure in the system. If the pedal is soft or spongey re-bleed the system starting with the calliper furthest away from the reservoir.

Car won't Crank/start

With a voltage meter see how many volts are at the starter terminal. If not 12+ volts you have a bad connection. Check connection at the starter solenoid. Does it have 12+volts? Short the solenoid. Does it put voltage to the starter?

My 2005 xb won't start and when you put your foot on the brake it is tight and won't move

The tightness of the brake is normal. as the servo doesn't work until you run the engine. It could still be the battery as the radio only takes a small amount of power, whereas the rngine needs a lot more, get it checked by an electrician.

The car sat up awhile. The battery died. We replaced the battery but the car still won't start. Everything comes on. The starter was tested and it was fine. What is the problem?

THERE ARE MANY POSSIBLE CONDITIONS THAT COULD PREVENT YOURCAR FROM STARTING. 1. NUTERAL SAFETY SWITCH IF THE CAR HAS AN AUTOMATICTRANSMISSION. 2. CLUTCH POSITION SWITCH IF THE CAR HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION.3. BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH. MANY NEWER VEHICLES HAVE A SWITCH ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ANDIF THE PEDAL IS NOT DEPRESSED WHILE TRYING TO START THE CAR, THE CAR WON'TSTART. ANOTHER POSSIBLILITY IS THE SECURITY SYSTEM. DOES THE CAR HAVE ASECURITY CHIP IN THE KEY? THESE ARE SOME OF THE MOST COMMON REASONS THAT A CARWON'T START FOR NO APPARENT REASON. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Shift lever lock won't release when brake pedal is

do the brake lights work? most of the time the problem is a broken wire at the brake light switch under the dash on the brake pedal. the ECM does not see the signal from the switch so it won't allow the car to shift from park.
