SOURCE: SUBARU OUTBACK CLIMATE CONTROL PANELS

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that the positive battery connector must be disconnected. Let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operation. If the problem still persists then the problem will surely be on the PCM (powertrain control module). The PCM has connectivity on all electrical accessories inside the car, it can be faulty that's why this issue occured. It must be replaced to correct the problem.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Try to adjust dash lights brighter. FOr some reason the radio blacks out even when the lights are dimmed a bit. Try turning the dash lights a bit brighter and see if you can see the radio. HAve a great day.

SOURCE: what would cause my air conditioning on my 2006

If the cabin filter is not changed on schedule, the A/C can be damaged. You have to pull out the glove compartment to access it.

This happened to my 2006 subaru as well. The dealer in Georgia who serviced it did not replace the filter and I have no way of proving it (moved to CA now).

I switched car insurance and lowered my premium $288 every six months. This is the site, pays for the repair. :)

SOURCE: Subaru forester (2006) radio stopped

Best guess is the antenna has a broken wire/lead, or somehow got unplugged from the radio. You will have to remove the radio to check antenna wire with Volt/ohm meter.

Testimonial: "Sounds reasonable - will check"

2006 Tribeca radio will not work, and the climate control lights do not illuminate. Checked every fuse with no problems.

The culprit fuse was under the hood - 20 amp fuse called "backup". Discovered nice cache of spare fuses and fuse puller tool in the under the hood fuse box.
