There are 2 screws and a small bolt/nut that I can remove but there are two clip/stud things that I cannot move. They face to the side of the car. How do I remove them?
Thanks. Worked it out myself just after posting question. Just needed to muscle it a little. Thanks. Worked it out myself just after posting question. Just needed to muscle it a little.

-Remove oil cap & pull off engine cover -Remove the radiator overflow tank 10mm socket -Remove the bracket to the metal radiator line10mm socket -Disconnect small hose from power steering tank
-Disconnect the cable wire to the fuse box (tape the wire bc it's live wire) 13mm socket
-Remove the Wheel -Remove wheel-well plastic. Pull out tree clips & unscrew the 3 torque-headed screws on edge. One screw is under the bumper flap
-Remove the serpentine belt. Use a 1/2 socket wrench without a socket. Just put the 1/2 inch end of wrench into belt pulley & push towards rear of car to release tension
-Unscrew bolt on the pulley that goes through alternator lower bracket. You'll have to remove it with the alternator as 1, don't have enough clearence to remove bolt after unscrewing. Make sure bolt is clear of bracket hole when pulling it out w/ alternator. 15mm wrench (socket won't fit)
-Remove nut off the alternator wire 13mm socket
-Remove nuts off the 2 stud bolts 13mm socket
-Remove the 2 stud bolts since alternor won't have room to clear off studs. Use the 2 nut trick to unscrew them if studs are stripped. Unscrew left stud bolt through the wheel-well. Other stud you can get from under hood. 7mm socket on the end of bolt lugs
-Then wiggle the alternator out removing it through the wheel-well
From 2006 to 2010, the Sonata's 3rd brake lamp requires the rear package deck be removed to access that bulb. 1. Remove the rear passenger seat bottom (remove two12mm bolts between the seat back and the seat bottom - tilt the seat back forward to locate these bolts). a. Press the two bottom front edge tabs to release the front of the seat bottom from the floor. b. Remove seat bottom & set aside w/two 12mm bolts c. Tilt both seat backs downward 2. Remove the left & right hand shoulder cushions (12 mm bolt at the bottom of each cushion) a. Remove seat belt from shoulder cushion guide at the top of the cushion b. Lift up and forward on shoulder cushions to remove them (if equipped with side airbags, disconnect wire harness connector). c. Set shoulder cushions aside w/two 12mm bolts 3. Using a small flathead screwdriver, pop out the 'SRS' button cover from the C pillar panels on the left & right hand side to access either the phillips head screws, 10mm bolts, or #30 Torque Screws a. Remove screws and set aside b. Using a standard flathead screwdriver, pop out the C pillar panels on both sides (clips hold these panels in place) c. Set these panels aside after removal w/screws/bolts 4. Trunk Access-way panels are held in place by phillips head screws (two at the bottom (left and right hand sides) and 4 to 5 at the top . a. Remove left and right hand panels and set aside w/screws. 5. Rear package deck held in place with two plastic clips (white, yellow or pink) a. lie on your back inside the trunk (trunk lid open to allow for more light). Looking through access hole find 3rd brake light wire harness connector & disconnect. b. locate package deck clips, one on the left and another on the right on the underside of the pckage deck c. Squeeze clips to push them out - package deck will come loose d. Remove package deck & remove 3rd brake lamp bulb socket (turn counter clockwise to remove). Replace bulb & reassemble in reverse order.
Above the third brake light is a small panel, remove this panel using small screwdriver. 1. You'll see four (4) bolts, remove the three bolts that are painted black, do not remove the center bolt holding the plastic molding, this is for the door molding, and has nothing to do with the light. 2. Once those three bolts are out, you'll see two more small screws, remove them and you'll have access to the third brake light bulb.
Be careful when pulling out the bulb, my bulb broke, and I'm still trying to get pieces out! - Good luck.
The procedure is as follows:--
Working from the trunk: 1. locate the 2 retaining knobs (doohickeys that you fasten the trunk cargo net to) for the Hard plastic trunk liner near to and inside of the rear light assembly. Unscrew the knobs. 2. Pulling back the plastic liner, locate the 4 studs (threaded posts). 3 will be located vertically in a line, the fourth, outboard and lower. Using a 10mm wrench(small), remove 3 of the 4 nuts fastening the light assembly to the body. DO NOT remove the lowest nut of the 3 in a vertical line, as this does not fasten the light assembly. DON'T LOSE THE NUTS OR WASHERS.
Working from the rear of the car: 1. Hand pull the light assembly from the car body. 2. Remove bad lamp. Twist lamp socket and pull out of assembly. Pull lamp and replace with #3057. Reassemble: 1. Test light prior to reassembly. 2. Ensure Gasket material for assembly and studs is intact, this keeps water/dust out and dampens movement (prevents rattling and increases the life of lamp). 3. Use Reverse instruction for reassembly. --------------The taillight/backup light/license plate light assembly is separate from the brake light/turn signal light assembly on the Buick LeSabre. No matter what rear bulb you have to replace, you must access the trunk area to do so.Open the trunk of the Buick LeSabre.Locate 7 nuts underneath the trunk lid (3 on each end of the trunk lid and 1 in the middle). Remove each one using a nut driver.Manipulate the trunk lid at chest level and gently pull the rear taillight assembly slightly away from the trunk lid.Locate the burned out bulb sockets and then remove the bulbs. Insert the new bulbs into the socket and test by turning on the lights before reassembling.Replace the tail light assembly by aligning the studs inside the predrilled holes in the trunk lid. Refasten the 7 nuts.Remove the cargo net if applicable to replace the brake and/or turn signal light.Unscrew the plastic wingnut that the cargo net is attached to. Pull back the trunk liner.Remove the 2 plastic wingnuts under the trunk liner.Pull the brake light assembly outward from the back of the LeSabre.Locate the socket of the burned out bulb and then turn counter clockwise 1/4-inch to release it from the assembly.Remove the old bulb from the socket and replace with a new one. Test the light before reassembling.Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this
solution and show your appreciation.
Tail light replacement is not as hard as it seems. Tools needed:flat head screwdriver and a deep 5/32 socket(a pair of pliers will work). Step 1: open trunk and pull back truck liner at tail light. There is a small button clip on liner.Use screwdriver to pop up the center of button clip, pull clip out of hole. Step 2:You will see a black wire attached to the body of car with 2 white clips.Use screwdriver to pop clips off of studs. Step 3:Remove the nuts from the studs and pull tail light assembly straight back away from car.The outer side of the light just snaps in and out of place. Step 4:Turn light socket counter clockwise 1/3 turn and pull out. Step 5:Pull bad bulb straight out and replace.Reverse steps to reassemble.
These drums should have a couple of small extra holes on about the same circle as the wheel studs which actually have thread in them for screwing in forcing bolts to pull the drum off. The thread should be M8*1.25 (a fairly standard Suzuki metric thread) and if 2 bolts are screwed in EVENLY (ie: half a turn each, alternately), then removal should be a piece of cake. Sometimes, light tapping at the other points between the other wheel studs may assist. Of course, if the drum is very badly worn, there will be a great deal of resistance to pulling the drums STRAIGHT off. I recommend SPINNING the drum while screwing the bolts in. This may be very hard to do, so replace all the wheel nuts (no wheel) so no thread damage will occur, and use a long bar across 2 protected studs to turn the axle. Then screw the bolts in a bit more, and turn the axle a bit more, and repeat. You will have to unscrew the wheel nuts a bit as the drum comes off.
They are on a rail, after removing the screws it should slide towards you. Since it just wiggles, there are small plastic studs that keep it in place. I you need to pull it towards the front of the car or 90deg out from the front of the van.
Step 1
Remove ½ of the brake fluid from the master cylinder with the syringe and replace the cover. Discard the fluid.
Step 2
Remove the front hubcaps and loosen the wheel nuts using the lug wrench, but do not remove the nuts.
Step 3
Lift the front end of the LeSabre with the floor jack and secure safely onto the jack stands.
Step 4
Remove
the wheel nuts and wheels. Screw one wheel nut back onto a wheel stud
hand tight to retain the rotor away from the caliper assembly.
Step 5
Place a large C-clamp over the left inboard caliper housing and the outboard pad, and tighten to compress the caliper piston.
Step 6
Remove
the two caliper guide bolts using a box end wrench. Remove the caliper
and secure it to the vehicle chassis with mechanic's wire or a metal
hook.
Step 7
Remove the outboard pad from the caliper on the LeSabre first. Pry it off the outboard caliper housing using the screwdriver.
Step 8
Remove the inboard pad by lifting the retaining clips out of the caliper bore.
Step 9
Clean
the surface of the caliper bridge that contacts the backing plate of
the pads using a wire brush, and apply a thin coat of brake lubricant
to the contact points. Be careful not to let the lubricant get onto the
rotor.
Step 10
Install
the new inboard brake pad and shim into the caliper piston bore by
pressing the retaining clips into the bore until it locks into place.
Step 11
Install
the outboard pad onto the caliper housing, making sure to align the
retaining clips into the holes in the caliper. Use the screwdriver to
convince the clips onto the caliper if necessary.
Step 12
Replace the caliper over the rotor.
Step 13
Clean
off the surface of the guide bolts and apply a light coat of lubricant
to the smooth surface of them. Align them properly through the rubber
boots and bolt the caliper to the knuckle. Tighten the guide bolts
using the wrench. Remove the wheel nut from the wheel stud securing the
rotor.
Step 14
Replace
the wheel and wheel nuts. Tighten the wheel nuts snugly, and re-tighten
them (with a torque wrench is recommended set at 100 foot pounds) once
the LeSabre is back on the ground.
Step 15
Repeat steps 5 through 14 for the right side.
Step 16
Pump
the brake pedal when you're through to seat the new pads against the
rotors, then check and add new brake fluid to the master cylinder.
