Indicates a TCM problem -internal electronic connection - needing it to warm up to operate properly)
try replacing the TCM with a known good one for test

SOURCE: Holden rodeo 99 3.2v6 4l30e code 82 and going into limp mode

the tcm may be faulty or has a loose ground, try swaping in another if you can get one borrowed or a cheap used one from a salvage unit

Auto Transmission for a holden captiva 7 2011 v6 petrol 3.0lt

In Australia?
ask any shop that does transmissions for help. there.
join a HOLDEN forum down there, we have none in Yankee land.
that transmission is and E box, electronically shifted called a TCM
and that TCM must like any new box.
Only Holden will have answers this complex.
Ask Them?
we are not any kind of Holden forum here.

Hi guys just want to know the process to rest limp mode for Holden Captiva 2007 petrol

Read out the codes, fix the faults , cancel the codes, test drive if any codes come back the fault is not fixed , it won't come out of limp mode till the faults are fixed.

I have a 1998 holden jackaroo SE automatic petrol car and it starts, reverse but when u put it in drive it doesn't drive if you press on the winter drive it goes so what's causing the problem?

Get a trained person to check the transmission. If it goes backwards but only goes forward in winter mode then there is a trans fault because auto's generally pull away in 2nd gear in winter mode to reduce wheelspin.

Oil light is on and engine in limp mode

check the oil level in the sump, coolant level, coolant temperature (overheating), transmission oil level if auto. The limp mode is energised by any number of sensors that register a fault that is detrimental to the engine/ gear box. Run the fault codes and repair any faulty units . Reset the CPU with a scanner .

I have a 2001 Holden rodeo 3.2L V6 auto have a problem between 40-60k's an hr it goes to change from 2nd to 3rd and seems to completely forget to go into 3rd and revs out and will not Go into gear unless I...

I can explain the sluggishness you get after the fault occurs and the light appears. The rodeo will go into what's called 'limp home mode' when it detects a fault. It is a safety feature that locks the car in second (or third) gear so u can get home or to the mechanic...slowly. If you turn the car off and re-start it will re-set. I recently was having transmission problems with my 2002 v6. It would occasionally clunk badly when pulling up to a slow stop. Intermittent problem that I couldn't reproduce with the mechanic (of course). They changed the transmission oil which was low and old, not a cheap job but probably a good idea. Unfortunately problem was still there. Plug in diagnostic module at transmission specialist showed no current faults when they first checked it, but a look through the fault history when I took it back and told them problem was still there showed a fault with the TPS or Throttle Position Sensor. Replaced that (not very expensive) and its been perfect ever since. May not be your problem, but get the transmission guy to check fault history, not just current faults. Don't know why my guy didn't do it the first time. Best of luck

Holden Rodeo 2001, check engine light keeps coming on!?

I'm having same problem on my 2000 model rodeo 4wd 3.2L V6. Other day check engine light came on. I checked engine bay nothing abnormal, or power loss. Next day light was gone. 2 days later driving, a sudden loss of power and light came up. After idling for a couple of minutes, drove off with light still on but all power back. 1 hour later of faultless driving loss of power for a minute or so. Engine temp normal. Had break for 1/2 hour and set off for last hour of journey without fault except check engine light still on. Following dayon startup light went out???

1997 isuzu wizard mu check light

Code 24 is a vehicle speed signal sensor fault, the sensor most likely does not provide a useable signal until about 25 MPH, when the computer doesn't see any signal after that speed it turns on the light. Make sense?
