1989 Lincoln Town car leaks oil into the air intake.

My wife's car has had a small leak for a bit but now it's smoking from the oil leaking onto the exhaust. I took off the air filter top housing since it looked like it was leaking near there. When I did I noticed a large puddle of oil in the flexible hose going to the filter. What's happening? how do I fix it?

95 Lincoln Town car A/C is blowing only hot air.

You can try stop leak, but don't expect great results. If the leak is big enough to lose more than 8 oz in a few days, you have a major leak.
And using more than one can of stop leak can cause problems in the system.

Mechanic says bag leaks, but seems to leak only when it's on a hoist. Stays inflated otherwise. If there is a small leak, can it be repaired or does it have to be replaced?

Has to be replaced

The engine has an oil leak, it's most likely either a valve cover [ most likely ] or the intake gasket. It sounds like the oil going on the exhaust manifold and burning off causing the smoke. This should be addressed ASAP as this is a fire danger!

I have antifreeze in oil pan & cylinder in my 1989 Lincoln Towncar

Hi:
The most likely cause of this is a leaking head gasket or intake gasket. Depending on how much cash you want to put into this car, the best plan of repair is to replace both head gaskets, and when you do this, the intake gaskets get changed as well. You can have the heads cleaned and checked while they are off the car.

Where is the thermostat located on a 1996 Lincoln Town Car?

The thermostat is in the housing bolted to the intake that the upper radiator hose goes to. Check the Intake manifold for leaks, these are prone to cracking the Intake. Check the front crossover behind the alternator and check the rear where the heater hose is hooked.
