I have already replaced the thermostat and the engine continues to overheats; It happens when the AC is on and while at idling. No leaks. No head problem. Any idea anyone? Thank you/
Check to see if the electric cooling fans are working. Some of the fans have 2 speeds and some need to operate on high speed constantly when the air is on. High speed could be a burnout.
There should be a temperature sensor, a fan Relay, and then the electric cooling fans.
Testimonial: "Thank you Fordexpert.I think your right. It's a two stage electrofan and the relays are fine. I'm down now to trobleshoot the temperature sensor and electrofan. "

There is a problem with the thermostat gaskets. Often times they leak and allow cars to overheat. Check under your car and make sure that there is no coolant leaking. MINI has updated the gasket so if you get your car serviced at a mini dealer then your gasket will be updated. There is not a bulletin or recall for this replacement this would be at your cost.

block test the cylinder head checking the coolant resivor for exhaust gases. after multiple overheats the heads are a lot of times warped.

its a fake error made by the right seat. find a mechanic with a computer and erase the eror.

I am not sure if this helps one yes you can use the recharge kits sold at the auto stores as long as they are compatable you will know this because it will say under the hood and secondly i would check all the wire connectors that are directly connected to the ac compessor i just fixed a car where the sesor coming from the thermostat housing was broken and the ac didnt work at all because of that hope this helps ya
