How do i reset my maint. required light in an 2002 acura tl

There is a tiny button under the dash that needs to be held down to reset it. There are a couple of ways to reset them depending on the year model. I think this youtube vid relates to your car (not the best vid but should help) -

The light is determined by the odometer. It will stay on every 7,500 miles after being reset. Usually at around 5,000 miles it will start to flash, and the flashing increases the closer you get to the 7,500 mile mark. It doesn't mean anything is wrong at all, as it is strictly a mileage minder. Brian is correct on how to reset it.

Push and hold the select and rest buttons at the same time and turn the ignition switch on but not to run. Hold until light goes off.

To reset check engine light... Disconnect the ground (black wire) from the battery. Wait for at least a minute for the computer to reset, then reconnect the ground. Start your car, and the light should not come back on.

The vehicle has either reached the mileage necessary for oil change and other maintenance, or whoever performed the last service did not reset the computer.

this is just your maintence minder. the reset procedure should be in your owners manual. the vehicle calculates when its due for an oil change and turns the light on but it should be reset every oil change if its on or not. you can can your local acura/honda dealer and they can explain how to reset

Press odometer reset/adjustment shaft in, hold in and turn key to run position. Keep holding in the reset shaft in for about 30 seconds. release shaft. turn key off. restart car. Service Light should go off in about 5 seconds.

Same problem with a 2002 3.2 TL; was jus advised that when OnStar switched from analog to digital it causes memory dump; dealer says it requires "hard reset" which costs ?$?; Acura 800 number says disconnecting antenna may/may remedy.
