Gauges have not worked for awhile. Previously when temperature controls were adjusted it affected the gauges. I was reaching under the dash and fiddled around then the gauges started to work but that was awhile ago then they quit again. I don't know if all this is connected but the heat is on all the time. Previously the heat did not work until I fiddled under the dash then the gauges and the heat worked and we didn't touch anything, that was last winter when we needed it. I have been told that chrysler product have bad ground problems. Thank you for any suggestions. we use the gps for a speedometer.

It can be several things. Te simple one is that the connector behind the cluster is loose. The other is the circut board that makes up the cluster is going bad. Try disconnecting the cluster and re connecting. If this does not work, try replacing it with a sed one from a salvage yard or from ebay.

There was a recall years ago on the ignition switch. Something wears and causes the switch to catch and hang a little so it doesn't spring back all the way to run position. The car runs but some of the other contacts are out of line or something. On mine it only happens occasionally and if I nudge the switch backwards just a little bit the dash lights and everything start working as it should. Or just shut it off and restart. Or go ahead and replace the switch itself.

well start by checking all fuses but it sounds like a bad ground wire somewhere on the car

You need to check your main fuses under the hood first and then check them under the driver side dash board.
