About 2 weeks ago my UPPER check engine light came on and when I took it in to get hooked up to the computer it came back as a communication error, they weren't even able to clear it. Then all of a sudden it went off on its own but now the gauges go out and then come back on randomly. Today all of a sudden my ABS light came on and the brakes went out driving down the road!!!! Can all this be related to each other and does anyone have a solution? I see a lot of posts about the gauges but nothing with the brakes....PLEASE HELP!!
They are most likely related. The communication error can be a couple different things. Firstly,it could be that you have a broken or shorted wire somewhere to the ECM.Or,..the ECM is going bad. From the way you describe it,its a wiring,or connection problem, and will take a professional to trace it down and repair the problem.
Good Luck!

Check for 12-volt power to the control modules and make sure they are properly grounded. If this checks out okay, the dash cluster is likely your problem. The body control module (BCM) is also known to cause this, as well as the data bus between all the modules.
A properly trained mechanic with a DRB III scan tool as well as the data bus manual for your van may be able to diagnose your problem.
You could try changing the instument cluster or looking for loose or weak solder points. If you strike the dash at various places to the lights on the dash blink?
Changing the BCM requires reprogramming the VIN in the new BCM to match the VIN of your vehicle, this is done with the DRB III tool.

With all those problems, it is most likely a body control module gone bad. You would have to take it to a Chrysler dealer to verify.

you need to go over your entire wiring harness, under the hood and inside the dash. Start with the ground wire on the battery and work your way inside. It sounds like there is a loose ground wire somewhere

well start by checking all fuses but it sounds like a bad ground wire somewhere on the car

You need to check your main fuses under the hood first and then check them under the driver side dash board.
