Interior lighting on '03 jetta tdi

All door ajar lights are always on unless fully switched off. Whether the key is in, on, out, or off. The driver side courtesy light is also always on. Also, when i turn the headlights on, i get a 30-40 second long continuous door chime. Sometimes my door chime stays on for a rediculously long time as well after the door is closed. I can't help but believe all these issues are connected.
