There is a red wire under the seat not connected to anything but i dont know where to put it

please find this site useful sounds to me that wire use to belong to your power seat motor but they recalled the motors because they had a tenancy to catch fire and burn the seat

first take the wire loose then under the hood there should be a fuse box there should be some big fuses 30 40 50 amp fuese one of them should be main fuse check it and all the rest of them

Check all your fuses in the fuse box. A fuse must have cut off.

To do a swap like this, you will need to identify each wire on the seat you want to install...Easiest way is to connedt to a battery and see what each lead does and write it down, then match those functions to the wiring from the Jeep. The larger problem you may run into is that the frame of a passenger car seat is far lower than the one in the Jeep. When installed you may essentially be sitting on the floor!!! Unless you are a very large person, this may be a real problem!!!
