SOURCE: Need vacuum diagram

I can't send you a diagram but I can tell you the basics that should get you mobile. Take a vacuum line from the lower front of your carb and hook it to your distributer vacuum advance. Take another from the front of your carb and run it to your EGR valve. It should be beside the carb on the intake manifold. At the rear of your carburator there is a large line coming out. It should be steel. It provides vacuum boost to your power brakes. Hook it up. Make sure all other vacuum outlets on the carb and intake are blocked off and you should be able to get mobile.

I need a vacuum diagram for a 1980 22RE engine w/ 2 bbl carb

I don't think your engine is a 22R-E as the E denotes electronic fuel ejection. For 1980 it should be just a 22R. I would not suggest slapping on another carb without expecting more work than just hooking up the original vacuum lines. Some lines you could cap off but others would need the vacuum and rerouting. There is plenty of info in the following blog on removing smog devices and extra vacuum lines here:
http://www.yotatech.com/f114/de-smogging-early-22r-205845/
There are also plenty of pictures and diagrams for your engine. Making a trip to your local junkyard might find you a 22R with a carb still attached but it's slim these days. I know this question is from January but if it's too late to help you than maybe it can help some one else.

one will go to the distributor vacuum advance unit- one probably goes to the vacuum actuator on the transmission one may go to a vacuum damper unit attached to the carby to slow down the throttle plate return

I installed a holley 4 barrel carburetor in my 1983 buick regal , but it starts fine but won't idle ?

Check your vacuum hoses. Holley aftermarket may not have as many vacuum ports as OEM QuadraJets, and you may have a vacuum line that isn't plugged into anything...or you may have a vacuum leak around the carb base gasket. Also, does the Holley have an electric or manual choke? Is it connected?

How to hook up vacuum lines for holley 600 cfm

When attaching vacuum lines, you need to remember only one thing. Mark each hose when you remove it from the original carb (quadrajet?) Hoses that attach to the baseplate are at full vacuum and should be returned to a similar location or to the manifold, using a "tree". Hoses that are connected to the body of the original carb only see vacuum when the throttle is opened. Those can be attached to the fitting on the right side of the front metering block. Most Holley carbs have no provision for the valve located at the front of early Q jets (bowl purge) nor do they have any electrical connections except for the choke mechanism.
The most important vaccuum line is the one for your power brakes. Make sure that one is firmly connected either to the rear of the carb baseplate or the manifold. All other lines are nowhere as critical as that one is..

I need a carburetor vacuum hoses diagram for a 82 dodge d150 slant 6 if anyone knows where i can download one would be awsome

If you go to AutoZone.com and register (free) you can nagivate your way to the "repair info" section. Once there look at the list in the center of the page and click on "emission controls:, after that look on the left side of the page for "VACUUM DIAGRAMS". the proper vacuum diagram should be there for your truck.

Hello, After my 1987 F-250, 7.5 L V-8, 4BBL sits for more than 12 hours I have to pump the accelerator anywhere from 20 to 50 times to get it to start. Once it starts it runs fine. I have replaced every...

That would be a Holley, probably model 4160 carb on it. You need to do a little detective work on this. You either need to adjust the choke or find out where the fuel is going after 12 hours.

First, when the engine is running check the Intake and Carburetor gaskets for vacuum leaks. Also spray by the Vacuum reserve canister (Like a coffee can) with either Choke cleaner or a water mist. Either way the RPM will change if you have a Vacuum leak. Fix the vacuum leak if you find one. The engine needs Vacuum to draw in the fuel for a cold start. There are vacuum ports with gaskets (Hidden until disassembled) where the Choke housing attaches to the main block of the Carburetor. A leak here will mess up the tiny piston inside the Choke. (Its under the Black cover and operates the stepup for cold starts).

The black choke dial should be set for 2 marks rich. You should not need excess force on the choke flap to unload it. The choke flap should maintain an opening about 2 credit cards thick measured between flap and carb housing. To get this space you bend the rod pushing the choke flap. This should help the choke work better.

If this does not help, on the next 12 hour interval check for fuel by taking off the strainer on the Carb inlet and remove the line from the carb to the pump. If the fuel line is dry you are losing the Prime to the pump. You must have either a bad pump or a hole in the fuel line from the tank.

Would like to know what you found. The Power pump inside the front bowl of your Holley has a number and you can go to a Holley website to see if it is correct for your truck. The fuel inside the front bowl of your Holley should be enough start the truck. Even if the bowl went dry overnight, the fuel pump would replenish the supply well before 20 to 50 pumps.
