Where is the evaporation emissiom vent valve in the car? Does it need special tools to change?
This is located on the top/side of the gas tank on the drivers side of the tank. instructions for removal- jack the front left side of the car up, unbolt top bolt that holds the heat shield and evap canister up place another jack under gas tank before the strap. (i use the jack that comes with the car i find it easier) unbolt 1st strap lower the tank down there should be enough clearance to lower half of the tank down without droping the entire thing

Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Is the main problem here. the other code P0118 may be a bad temprature sensor or your thermostate needs to be changed. Last it could be a weak water pump.
So what is an EGR system and how does it work? EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation, and as its name implies, this system allows exhaust gasses from your car to be re-circulated into the engine, helping to reduce emissions. These systems are mostly comprised of the EGR valve, a DPFE (Delta Pressure Feedback EGR) sensor, hoses, a vacuum regulator, some vacuum lines, wiring, the computer and the exhaust tube leading to the valve itself.
The car's wiring can be tested in the normal fashion by looking for broken and lose wire, and all vacuum lines can be checked easily for cracks, leaks and correct routing.
The last thing i would then check is the the EGR valve, EGR vacuum regulator and DPFE sensor (or similar flow sensor).
I hope this helps and good luck

take everything around your water pump of and use a metric 10 box end wrench

They will have to remove trans end cover to perform this, will take several hours to perform.

there are many codes that relate to the egr, like low flow, unresponsive, possition sensor..... Like dave said it is best to know the code if it is a low flow code it could be from a intake leak or could have the passage clogged with carbon. but to answer your question it is mounted on the back side of the intake on the drivers side, it is an electronic egr valve/ soliniod . about the size of a small orange juice can , electric connector is on top and bolts to the intake and has a "tube" that goes down to the exhaust manifold in rear.

The auto parts stores sell a special socket just for removing O2 sensors. They have a slot cut into the side the full length of the socket which allows the wire harness to be pulled into the socket instead of being trapped under it. If there is enough room, you could also use an open end wrench of the appropriate size. Be sure to let the exhaust cool completely before attempting to remove the sensor. They are usually very tight and any heat will just make them tighter. The new O2 sensor should have the connector at he end of the wire harness. Some sensors come with connectors that have to be spiced into the wire harness. Avoid those.
