no engine told. at all. just 4 banger
no VIN told and 8th digit is engine code.! post VIN .
crank sensor can be in 3+ places, front crank ,mid crank and rear.
yes some car with crank sensor behind fly wheel the tone slots are cut into the flywheel or the (flex plate) so yah tricky on some engines. (just so you know ropes)

if you google correct engine name + crank shaft.

you will see the tone wheel on the crank and bingo location
or read the service manual to learn this fast.

I4 means zero to me
see why?? the wiki shows this generation used all 6 engines

if the engine has CAM belt it snapped, and both sensors fail but both sensor are good, and fails compression tests or worse
head poppet valves bent./
my guess someone (kids) put you up to this guess.
or did not scan he PCM

I flat refuse to do all of those with belt/chain, told.NO!

flywheel teeth get damaged in 3 places for 6 cyl or 4 for v8 If the teeth are damaged then the fix is a replacement ring gear
now if the car is automatic it will not have a flywheel as the torque convertor does that job
there is a flex plate bolted instead to the crank shaft and inturn bolted to the torque converter
They are kown to develope faults and crack off at the crank shaft so that they become warped ( not allowing full pinion engagement) or dreak off altogether and not turn the crank at all
The thrust bearings on the crank generally do not fail as they run in oil all the time so disregard that suggestion( if the thrust bearing was to fall ot completely , the added movement is 1/8 " and the pinion would still engage a good ring gear)
Now the teeth have to be replaced so for an automatic it is a new flex plate ( box out )
for a manual it is flywheel off and a new ring gear fitted to the flywheel ( box out )
check the pitch of the teeth of the new starter
the movement of the pinion can be checked by an accredited auto electrician and adjusted by the encentric pivot pin in the solenoid fork
So what ever happens the box has to come out for the repair

shouldn't run at all with a damaged crank sensor

-you mean broken teeth...? If so possibly crank the engine while it's still running.

i believe that the flex plate only goes on one way and it sends a signal to the crank sensor that is what all of the slots on the flex plate are for the crank sensor is located on the outside of the transmission it has one bolt and a electrical wire connection unplug it and pull it out of the transmission be careful not to break it they some times are stuck but with a little movement left and right then pry it up with a screwdriver you could have damaged this during intstallation of the fly wheel because these go in the transmission and ride real close to the flexplate check and see if you have spark at the spark plugs if not i believe you may have damaged this good luck i hope this helps

flywheels will generally shatter the bell housing so It may be flex plates
They crack the center out from incorrect fitment of the washes at the crank shaft that makes them flex against the torque converter
generally it is the omission or the incorrect fitment of the large dish shaped washes or the flex plate not being turn around until all of the bolts screw all the way in finger tight
the units are make in thousands and last hundreds of thousands of miles so to have such a problem is lack of attention to detail on fitment or lack of trade skill in the fitting

P1391 means intermittent loss of CKP and CMP , these sensor are monitor when the engine cranking,or running,These can come from a damage flex plate for the cranksensor or damage tone wheel for the camsensor,to a failing cranksensor ,failing camshaft sensor, to even the harness intermittent connnection

CODE PO335 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT. CODE PO315 - NO CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR LEARNED. POSSIBLE CAUSES, CRANKSHAFT TONE WHEEL FLEX PLATE IS DAMAGED, TONE WHEEL PULSE RING MAY BE DAMAGED, ERRATIC CKP SENSOR SIGNALS WIRING CONNECTOR PROBLEM, CKP SENSOR HAS FAILED, PCM HAS FAILED.

- The pcm detects that the camshaft position is out of phase with the crankshaft position

Probable Cause[s]

1. Engine oil dirty or contaminated /Incorrect engine viscosity
2. Open or short circuit condition
3. Camshaft 1/1 position solenoid, camshaft phaser ,camshaft1/1 position sensor
4. Crankshaft position sensor ,crankshaft,tone wheel or flex plate
5. Camshaft,tone wheel or pulse ring
