Cant take door panel off 1999 dakota

I have everything off but the widnow winder

    ...........yeah thats great, except kinda hard to get the door panel off when i dont know how to get the winder off......... kinda what my question was about.

    awesome, actually found that out after i replied to you the first time.



    giant pain to get off though, took about as long to do that as it did to unscrew the rest of the door panel

The window crank must be removed also, after you remove it and all the screws, grab the door panel and pull straight upward with it, this will remove it from the door.

    I apologize for the misunderstanding, there is a clip behind the handle that can be reached by using a screw driver and pushing it straight backward, it's hard to get the screw driver in the right position but it can be done, the other alternative is see if someone has the proper tool for removing it, this makes it much easier. You could call an autozone or whatever auto parts store is closest to you and ask them if they have the tool for removing the locking clip for the door handle.

The problem is that the winder motor for the drivers side window is either worn out, the arms for the winder mechanism that raises or lowers the glass are jamming or there is a rub through in the harness, either way you will have to remove the door panel to check these problems.

REMOVAL OF DOOR PANEL
You need to remove the door handle/window winder and sometimes the door lock button. Then the rest of the door panel is held on by expanding nylon pins which pop out wit the insertion of some kind of wedge - like a screwdriver -protected to keep the paint from scraching, or a sharp wood dowel.

Removeing door panel to remove side mirror
It's usually the window winder that presents the problem . Remove all visable retaining screws ie; Grab handle , Internal door opening lever , Button on top of panel (if applicable ) etc . The majority panel are a pop snap on type . Remove the winder lever withthe aid of a shoe lace or thin piece of cloth material, The winder is retained by a horse-shoe shaped spring clip. .... Pull the shoe-lace/ material in the opposite direction of the winder retainer clip and it will easily come off, but it is a spring clip and may fly off so be careful. Good luck

The fault is with the regulator on the window. Remove winder and door handles. Remove door lining and reconnect window to winder rail. Reverse for reassembly

Cant get door panel off 1999 caravan
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Rear door panel removal 99 dakota extedned cab
If you cannot Locate any Screws, First try looking for Screw Hole Covers or Plugs. If None, Just start at the Bottom and Pull. You may need to go to your Auto Parts Store and Purchase a Package of Door Panel Fasteners for the Panel. Usually you will Break 3 or 4 of these During Removal and Install. Please Rate My Response! Window wont wind up on ford fiesta
in the door handle you will see some plastic caps
remove these you will then find some phillips screwsremove them the handle will com off
same with the window winder handle
then check for other screws then pull door card off. but gently bottem out & top up

REAR POWER WINDOW WONT ROLL UP
the door inside panel is screwed on in 3 or 4 places. look on the underside of the panel for a screw or two, and look for a screw cover underneath where the inner door handle is. pop the window switch assembly out of the door gently and unplug the wiring harness from it. it is possible to repair the window winder assembly inside the door, but its too hard a process for me to explain. if u can get the door panel off, but cant figgure out how to repair the winder assembly, then buy a new window winder assembly for around $120, to replace and not repair is the standard practice anyway, cause the winders are a pain to repair, and the repair is usually only temporary, they are technically non repairable, the repair is more like a mcguyver move.

Remove window winders for mk3 Golf
hi there, it will be one of two ways, either theres a little horse shoe shaped clip that sits inbetween the winder and the door panel, failing that then the middle of the winder should flick out and there will be a screw that screws through the winder and into the panel, hope this helps
