Sounds like the spray nozzles are clogged you can usually remove them and soak them in soapy water or spray water through it with a sprayer on the end of a hose. if that doesn't solve it then you may have a cracked line or the pump that pumps it out may be broken but usually is the nozzles are clogged.

SOURCE: how to disconnect ww pump inbonneville

The easiest way to go about this would be to pull the electrical pigtail off of the pump itself and that will stop all pumping of the windshield fluid.Locate your windshield washer reservoir and look around the outside of it.There will be a conical looking pump with an electrical pigtail and a rubber hose connected to it.The hose is where the fluid is transferred, but the electrical pigtail is what you want to disconnect. There is a lock clip you have to release, then you can pull the pigtail off with ease.No more pumping!!!! I hope I could help!!! Get back to me with any more questions and thanks!! Rate me accordingly.

SOURCE: windshield washer does not pump fluid

The pump works off the same circuit as the wipers, so it would be same fuse. Most likely the pump is no bad.

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Sunfire windshield washer fluid

The hose that the fluid runs through has a hole in it or one of the little plastic hose connectors has sprung a leak or is partially disconnected.

When lever is pulled to spray washer fluid it blows 20 amp fuse.

To test, disconnect positive from pump and try to spray. If it still blow the fuse then you have shorted circuit somewhere. If it doesn't blow the fuse then either pump is shorted or stuck and draws too much amperage.

Which Fuse is the windshield washer fuse on a 2016 Ford F150?

Spencer - the washer fluid pump is fed off the same fuse as the windshield wiper, i.e., #22 which is a 30 amp fuse. If the wipers work, the fuse is fine...could be another issue

What is the problem you are facing? Are you not getting any fluid spray from the nozzle? Could be a clogged hose, broken washer fluid pump or switch...

I recommend taking these steps, as I saw from another F150 site:
Open hood
** Locate washer fluid bottle
** Find the rubber hose near the bottom coming off of it
** Follow hose up to near firewall and find a connector
** Take hose off connector and point away from yourself
** Have someone power on the truck
** Press spray button
** If fluid then pump is working problem is after the connector near the sprayers
** If no Fluid then either the Pump is bad or the switch is bad.

In my 2007 Saturn Vue there is what I think is an air pump which is cracked that one port is not connected to anything.

There is a electric motor that pumps washer fluid . Located in the bottom of the washer fluid tank .
Wash Operation (Front and Rear Wipers)
The front and rear washer systems use the same windshield washer fluid pump. When either the front or rear wiper is in the washer position voltage will be supplied to one side of the windshield washer fluid pump (depending on whether it is front or rear), while the other side of the pump is grounded.
At this point, the windshield washer fluid pump sprays solvent onto the windshield. When the front or rear washer is activated, the BCM receives an input from the switch that is activated. The BCM will control the wipers while in the WASH mode. The BCM will control either the front wiper relay or the rear wiper relay to turn on the wipers. The windshield wipers operate at low speed for 3 swipes and returns to the park position.

When turning on the washers do you hear the motor run ? Have some one try it while you listen at the washer fluid tank ! These pump motors do go bad .
turn OFF the ignition.
Disconnect the harness electrical connector of the windshield washer fluid pump.
Connect a test lamp from the windshield washer pump control circuit to a good ground .
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Press the front washer switch.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
YES or NO !

Windshield washer not working

  1. check your windshield washer fluid level.
  2. make sure you can hear the fluid pump operating when you operate the switch.
  3. If you can hear the pump working and you have fluid in the reservoir but still no spray,
  4. check the washer fluid lines don't have holes and aren't clogged or pinched. check the sprayer nozzles make sure they are not clogged with debris.
  5. if your washer still doesn't work your fluid pump is probably the problem.

My 2006 Dodge Dakota windshield washer fluid does not spray. I checked the washer pump and it works. The fuses are all good. And the wipers work. When I press the windshield washer button inside the truck...

If the pump works, something should be flowing thru the hose to the spray nozzles.
And if the pump works, everything electrical is working.
How do you know the pump works ?

1999 BMW 323i wiper fluid is not spraying. Wipers work fine and I did check the fluid level which is full.

When you turn on the washers do you hear the pump running? if so the nozzel could be plug at the windshield or a break in ght hose. If you do not hear the pump running the washer pump could be faulty.
