112,000 miles is just getting broke in. This cummins will easily go 400,000-500,000 miles.

Too much milage, In my opinion. You will start experiencing problems eventually. You can but a newer model truck for that amount of money. Of course you can do what you want. But Dodge is known to have constant problems with the transmission. I have experienced this with people that I know.Your vote would be appreiciated. If this helps.

1999 dodge ram 2500 turbo diesel the trailer brakes won't work and I tried a different truck to make it was not the trailer any ideas?

We just had the same problem with our 99 2500 Turbo Diesel Ram. The problem ended up being the factory trailer cord recepticle near the hitch. When we unplugged the harness from the back side of the recepticle we found that the brake terminals had gotten hot and burned out. We replaced the recepticle (about $30 from Dodge) and our problem was solved.

Bought 01 dodge, 2yrs ago, has 300,000 miless,

Well, Hate to say this to you but your Cummins 24v turbo diesel does not have glow plugs. The fuel temperature necessary for proper ignition is heated by an element inside your fuel filter housing.

1999 dodge diesel 2500 seems to have a fuel related problem.

Please clarify the "loosing power" does it lose power and shut down or does it loose power but will idle? Your Cummins is electronically controlled so oil condition is important, fuel leaks, oil leaks, leaks in the air ducting between the turbo and the intake, sensors, water in the fuel. Do you get an engine light when this trouble happens? Dodge uses a lift pump to carry fuel to the the injection pump, is it working?
