Hi my mazda323f seams to lose power after about 20 of running the rev's go up then down and engen sounds like it's struggleing

2008 Pathfinder When we get to about 80 to 90km going up a hill, it loses power the rev gauge keeps going up and down but won't accelerate When we are towing up a hill we are struggling to do 50km.

Fiesta revs struggling

ive seen transmissions cause this in high-end luxery cars... but that being said..

-sounds like your fuel filter is clogged. (i just shake mine out and run carb cleaner in it, which i do every 15,000 miles)
-could also be fuel pump
-loose battery terminal
-bad alternator
-clogged MAF sensor

possible fuel filter fuel pump check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail it should be at 40 psi or more while running at 2000 rpm for two minutes then shut it off watch for leak down on gauge for five minutes it should actually go up not down

Hi my freelander is running fine on the flat but i struggle to get up hills .I set off in first and then when put it into 2nd gear it revs but the power drops and have to go back to 1st.Any ideas would be...

sounds like slipping clutch but change spark plugs ,ignition leads ,fuel filter and air filter and see if there is a differance.

Hi, I'm new to this site, I recently brought a 98 1348cc 8valve daewoo lanos. The oil pump was gone so I fitted a second hand engine, the problem is it will not start when cold unless I squirt easy start...

Does it have a Mass air flow sensor? If yes, unplug it and see how it acts.

94 gran am was idealing fine then sputered alittle then dogged down then just quit i restarted it runs terrible no power sounds like it trys to run desent again but it doesnt any ideas, Broape

First Idea is fuel pump failed. You will ned to get a pressure test doen to be sure. Spray brake cleaner as its struggling to see if it idles and revs better. If it gets better then the pump has failed

After 30-45 miles of driving, engine loses power and slows to a stop. immediate attempts to start result in eratic idle, will not rev evenly. after a 20-30 minute cool down period, starts right up and runs...

Hi,.. is your car manual or auto transmission,??..maybe..if car is at full throttle /full revs,./the rev limiter will make car engine pulsate to help protect from damage

Does it rev up ok if so sounds like idle speed control valve to me

rev's up fine normaly rmp's sit around a1500 but stared to drop to 800 then car shudders like going to stall

SOURCE: 88 bronco. runs fine untill it warms up then loses most power

Sound like an ignition issue.The hotter temps are causing a part to fail.If you've never replaced the ignition coil,this is the easiest place to start.Another possibilty would be the pickup in the distributor,or the reluctor on the distributor shaft.
