I have an 02 Mitsu Galant. Overheating. Heater works when it wants to, sometimes blowing hot, sometimes cold. Changed thermostat. My antifreeze is full. Is it my water pump? How do I go about diagnosing the problem?
Before u add water in ur radiator make sure u start ur engine and remove ur radiator cap and pour water to it when u see there is no more air in ur radiator u can close it and it will work good

I have a '98 Mitsu Galant. It's overheating. Replaced thermostat & coolant is full. Fans do not turn on unless A/C is turned on. Bottom hose stays cold and top hose gets hot along with radiator. At idle position temp gauge stays in the middle. 1/2 mile the temp gauge gets hot fast even with A/C fans running. What is the problem? Could it be the waterpump or head gasket? Oil is fine and no smoke from tail pipe. Please help.
