We have a 2000 Voyager and have the same problem. I just started researching this online and I'm hoping to find a clue. I can tell you that not a single fuse or relay had any problems so we're lost. Also, as a note, we no longer have cruise control. All three of these went at the same time.

Air bag lamp stays on, have no horn. I checked all fuses and replaced relays.
No change. I'm hoping a friend can hook up and talk to the computer to reset!

Our air bag light and horn also don't work and every once in a while i have trouble turning the key in the ignition. what brought me to leave this post is i am looking for postings on another problem we are having. The wipers, the heat/defroster, radio, directional and power windows went out all at once.

Hey guys with problems with the air bag lights on and horn not working in Chrysler Voyager...

this is the problem with the steering wheel clockwork spring. The connector that brings the wires from the steering wheel instruments (hord, airbag, cruise control) and takes it through the steering column to the car body but allows steering wheel to rotate without breaking the wires. The dealer should have adivised you that there is a life long warrantly from manufacturer of this part. There was a recall notice issued by Chrysler in 2003/4 to bring in car for replacement of part if the Airbag light came on. I got mine done last year under the recall.

If not relays, then air bag missing or not working properly. horn will work intermittently because there are sensors on both sides. your mechanic, if he/she knows what they are doing, can fix the problem. kevmo

I own a 2001 ford expedition my horn does npt work.the fuse is under the hood its good. when i press the horn i hear a clicking near the peadles, can it be a bad ground. what color is the wire in the...

Did you use a test lite to see if fuse circuit, hot all the time. Because that module is involved, I can't troubleshoot it from here. Also, my info says airbag and horn button are integrated. That airbag is dangerous. At the horn, yellow wire with lt green tracer is voltage, black wire is ground. You could use jumper wires off the battery for voltage and ground to see if horn will sound, if you try that use an inline fuse.
My info says that central security module is located under the dash, to the left of steering column, The clicking may be coming from the module, I don't know?

How to install clock spring

Not recomended for untrained people as airbags can be very dangerous. That said you need to. 1) disconect battry 2) remove SRS (Airbag fuse) 3) remove shroud around steering colum 4) wait ten minutes. 5) remove horn pad (airbag houseing) usualy held in by tamper proof bits from back of steering wheel. 6) unplug wires to airbag & horn 7) undo steering wheel bolt & mark position of steering wheel to colum splines. 8) remove steering wheel with suitable puller (NOT a hammer) 9) unclip clock spring & replace 10) reverse procedure

Hi my grand voyager se 3.3 has lost it's mind. my cruise and horn dosen't work. The abs and airbag light is on. When it warms up the transmission will not change gears. I have changed the output speed...

I'd check those issues one at a time. Note the horn wiring diagram. I got the horn diagram because it is simple. The fuse is hot all the time, not only check the fuse, use a test light and check voltage at the horn fuse. The fuse and horn relay should be in power distribution center under the hood. If you pull relay and use jumper wire between terminals 30 and 87, with terminal 30 hot all the time, the horn should sound, If it does, problem is on control side of horn relay, left side, has to have voltage and ground. Top wire is voltage, bottom wire is ground. The wiring in steering column--clockspring--horn switch are all part of ground for the control side of relay. If the steering wheel has an airbag, have to disable and be careful with it when testing horn wiring circuits in the steering column.
Granted, your other problems maybe more involved? Check for applicable trouble codes

1997 Dodge Caravan, Horn and Cruise Control doesn't work, and Driver Airbag light on is there something other than fuse that may cause this

It sounds like the item known as the "clockspring" has gone bad. It's a unit between the steeing colum and the steering wheel that transfers the electrical connections for any steeing wheel mounted electrincs, like the horn, cruise buttons, airbag, or anything else that might mounted to the wheel.

These are not easily replaceable, however after a brief search, there appears to be a POSSIBLY of getting it replaced under a recall from the manufacturer. Check out this link, and this link.

1997 Plymonth Voyager horn does not work.

My van had the same problem. You need to replace the clockspring located in the steering wheel. Once replaced, the horn will work, the cruise will work, and the air bag light will shut off. Hope this helps!!! It worked for me!!

Horn does not work and airbag light comes on

Had he same problem with my 1997 voyager. The steering wheel needed to be pulled and behind it is a round spring-like mechanism which in mine was broken...It was replaced and problem solved. It cost me about 200 dollars but it was something that needed to be done. This is a problem that you will probably have to take to a dealer because most other mechanics won't do it in fear of engaging the airbag when pulling the steering wheel. I luckily found a mechanic who knew what he was doing and gave me a fair price.
