I just had my 2006 Range Rover Sport detailed and now the indicator light says that the gas cap is either loose or missing. I have tightened the gas cap until I hear 3 or 4 clicks but still the indicator message comes on. Is there a quick fix or do I need to take it to the dealer?

The brake light fuse lives in the boot on a Range Rover Sport - lift the access panel and its on the Left side in a bank of 4-5 fuses immediately neighbouring the jack slot.
when the battery terminals are removed this tends to corrupt the CPU program . Use a scanner to reset the CPU program and the problem should be solved.
hey guys really need major help...2006 range rover sport hse radio audio keeps on coming on and off..ive checked and tested fuse and still no luck ...what did i miss ? is there something else i need to look?
Take it to a Shucks auto supply and have them read the code for free before you take it the the dealer and pay large fee. The typical check engine light code comes on when and with that low of miles might be, just not tighten the gas cap enough. Make sure you hear the gas cap click at least 3 times after filling up. It might be that simple, it may take another 100 miles or so but it possibly will clear the code on its own. That's all mine was. When they read the code and they say its fuel related, good chance that it is. FYI, I'm sure your also always using super unleaded and not going to Arco for gas right?? Good Luck.
