My dashboard lights (e.g. outside temperature, speed) and radio stopped working all of a sudden on my Suzuki Ignis. I found that a fuse was dead, so replaced it. The dashboard indicators are working again, but not the radio. It says 'code' instead of displaying the radio station. Anyone able to help please ?

It gets pretty hot in there, and although hardly any manufacturers specify replacement intervals for oxygen sensors, they play a critical role in providing the ECM with acurate data for best running performance/economy. Change it, as the savings in NOT changing it will be soon eroded by increased fuel usage.

The wiring may have gone bad in your car. Usually blown fuse and loss of power are the result of this. You may need to inspect the wiring loom underneath the dashboard where most of the wiring for the mentioned devices are located.
SOURCE: The thermometer that reads the outside temperature
its not in the engine area, its nearer toward the bumber area, and replace the sensor

check ALL fuses. the ones under the dash{inside the car} and the ones under the hood.see if one is blown

Hello bishoppar.
As with most electrical repairs this is almost impossible to tell you costs involved.
It will depend on where and how the short took place and how far the damage has extended.
If it is one wire shorted to ground it may not be as bad. But if one wire shorts into another it can damage several circuits.
In one case I have seen where a starter circuit shorted, burned into several others. This started a small fire in the engine compartment. The insurance wrote off the vehicle due to repair costs.
Most certainly this will not be the case in your situation, just an example of the variation.
You will need to trace the short and have it repaired.
A good tech should be looked for in the repair as it will save you in the long run.
If you would like further advise on this, please ask me in a comment here.
