7.3 diesel isnt getting enough fuel at 1500 RPM or higher. Replaced fuel filter and it ran for a week. Fuse is fine, and fuel system intertia switch is fine. fuel pump sounds ok, and engine starts and idles just fine.
Not to sure on model but could be injectors or the inbjector pump not fuel pump as this only send fuel to engine injector pump send fuel to injectors hope this helps
Thanks, it looks like bad fuel. I idled the engine up to 1500 rpm until it began missing. Turned engine off, emptied the water/fuel seperator. Turned engine on, idled at 1500 rpm for 1 min, turned engine off, and emptied the fuel/water seperator. Added two cans of Seafoam per mixing instructions. Engine running fine so far.

SOURCE: My 93 ford f250 diesel 228,000 is having problems
more likely the glow plug circuit . try running through the glow plug cycle 2 or 3 times before trying to start
if it starts better your problem is in that circuit
if this helps please leave feedback

it sounds like to that it is either worn/ old injectors, dirtly HPOP (high pressure oil pump) oil worn HPOP pump or dirty fuel filters or fuel. you can take truck to a qualified diesel shop and they can do a buzz test on your injectors and see if they need to be replaced with a buzz test the tester will buzz all eight injectors with engine off and you can hear the buzz of the injectors then it will go through and buzz each injectors individually in firing order to der determin witch ones are bad. the bad injectors will be alot quieter than the other and most testing equipent will show what they are running at. hope this helps.
