Passenger headlight has a shortage in the wire. How do I know? The light bulb is not blown per auto mechanic, AutoZone, and by looking at the bulb myself; when I move the wire to the headlight the light will turn on; when the wire is released, the bulb goes out again; when the headlight wire is wiggled, the headlight goes on and off...there is a shortage! Is there a way I can fix this issue myself instead having to pay the dealer for and exam for someting I already know?

You can fix it yourself you just need to find out where the shortage is. If its up close to the bulb then its not a big deal to change. Just go to an auto parts store and get a new headlight pigtail for it then splice it in. If its further up the harness it can be a little bit more difficult.

When you say "Pigtail" are you inquiring about the "connector" part of the unit where the wires make connetion ?

07 G6 drivers side headlight not working

There could be several reasons why the driver side headlight on your 2007 Pontiac G6 is not working. Some possible causes include a blown headlight bulb, a faulty headlight relay, or a problem with the headlight wiring. It's also possible that the issue is related to the turn signal, as you mentioned that it was staying on. I would recommend checking the headlight bulb first. If it is blown, replace it with a new one. If the bulb is fine, the issue may be with the headlight relay or wiring. You can also check the turn signal switch or the multifunction switch, which controls the turn signals and headlight. It may be possible that the switch is defective or malfunctioning. It would be best to get the vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic to determine the cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs.

Drivers side head light is way dimmer than passenager light even after new bulb replacement

When looking from the outside of the headlight at the bulb, can you see the bulb clearly??
These lenses are notorious for dulling very badly. If it has you can use a regular headlight 'restoring' kit sold at most auto part locations.

If it is not a lens issue, you may have a wiring/supply issue.
Then you would need to find the troublesome wire/connection.
I am not the best at wiring issues, but I would try to find a power source wire with the same amperage rating, run a bypass jumper from a known good voltage source and see if the light changes. If no change, your problem may be the harness or plug at the rear of the headlight bulb.
Hope I could help

The passenger side headlight works sometimes but not always, I've changed the bulb and it works for awhile, but, keeps coming on occasionally. Hitting the housing of the light will turn on the light...

1) pull the wiring socket off the bulb connectors and squirt some WD40 into the female parts of the connector. Give it a visual look and make sure it is not eaten up with corrosion. If the socket itself is bad you can buy a replacement at advance auto parts or autozone..

2) generally there is a wire coming from the socket grounded nearby. find that ground connection, take it apart, clean it and put it back together with a firm connection to the chassis.

blown out headlight bulbs or headlight bulb fuses. If this isn't it, have the mechanic wire the headlight wires to the running lights, simple quick fix, but recommend installing a high fuse for the extra load. Charles H.

Headlights going in and out randomly.

Hello, this is probaly an alternator problem. Your alternator is probaly charging to much and sending a surge of power through your system. Autozone offers free electrical diagnostics and you can as well check the voltage of your alternator with a multimeter or a good Haynes or Chilton auto repair manual. I would check this and if this is not the problem email me and I can guide you through a checklist of other possibilities. I would also check your battery condition and cable tightness, your spark plugs and spark plug wires as well. I hope this solves your problem for you!

Headlight shortage

Is the bulb connector melted? Its the plastic piece that the bulb plugs into. You can get a new one from your Mazda dealer for about $20. I've seen quite a few bulb connectors go bad and short out the bulbs. Especially when people run mp3 players and phone chargers all the time.
