What type frontier is it?? is it supercharged or not? p0340 is a cam position sensor issue. sensor is build into the distributor. by what you are saying, the distributor may be faulty. have you replaced the timing belt at 105k miles?? if belt is broken, distributor will not spin and vehicle will not start.
SOURCE: where is the fuel filter 2005 nissan frontier?
Built in the gas tank. It is cleanable. Don't have to buy a new one.
It is built into the pump so if it would have to be replaced then you
would have to replace the whole pump. To me thats pretty crappy design.
Crawl under the truck, you should have two or three lines coming off the fuel tank, one will have the filter, one is the return, and one is emissions.

Take one of the spark plugs out and let us know what it looks like. Dry and light grayish tan means you have spark but fuel supply problems. Wet spark plug that smells like gas means it is more of a spark issue.
Good Luck
