Unfortunately Discoveries will always eventually leak some fluid, People who say theirs do not leak have just not found the problem yet. I just traded a 2003 for a new vehicle. First the power steering can and does leak but since the fluid capacity is not that much, if you have a continous leak and the power steering still works it is probably not the leak you need to address. also the plastic splash guard makes it difficult to identify leaks easily. My 2003 discovery was leaking for a while the leak was from the auto trans cooler. Check the leak colour, white paper under car, red fluid will be the trans fluid, The power steering fluid in the car is a special fluid (not trans fluid) if the correct fluid would be a greenish colour. Other than this oil leaks can be plentiful.

Land Rover Discovery Series II has the lights on the left front, rear left on at all times. Is it a fuse?

Unlikely to be a fuse blown. Doesn't your Discovery have Daytime Running Lights? If so the right side might be a blown fuse. If the rear lights are on, that mean you have the nighttime lights on.

Sounds like a belt--
Belt provides rotation for the power steering pump, alternator, and water pump.

How to put oil in the a/c compressor on a 2001 land rover discovery series ii

you can not put oil on yourself. You have to visit a qulified garage where they know how to do it. The oil goes with the same machine which is putting freon gas in the ac compressor.

2002 land rover discovery II overheated, it will start but won't keep running

Honestly it sounds like you eighter blow a head gasket or the intake manifold gasket. Do you see white steamy smoke coming out the tail pipe or if you pull the dip stick out do you see white fomey yellowish **** on the stick .Or if you look inside the antifreeze reseveor or radiator cap oil floating on top of the antifreeze. If any of these things are happening then the problem is antifreeze is leaking into one or more of the cylinders and the vehicle will not run good and this will reck the engine fast if not repaired quickly. So look for oil in the antifreeze or antifreeze in the engine oil

Power steering pump on 2001 land rover disco ii makes a laboring noise when I turn the wheel as well as there is a leak somewhere in the system. I had the hoses replaced a month ago, but there is still a...

The noise is because the oil level is low and the pump is reverburating. Look at the bottom of the steering box, its usually the lower oil seal that leaks. If it is the steering box , then i suggest you take it to a mechanic to replace the seal, because to remove the drag link arm is very difficult without proper pullers.
