Just to clarify, cranking is the same thing as turning over.
If it cranks but does not start, you need to check the fuel pressure with a gauge before and after you try to start it.
The pump relay allows the pump to run for 3 seconds before the engine cranks to boost pressure in the line. If the check valve in the pump is bad the pressure will drop off when the engine is not running.
it started the sluggish starting after changing the oil in the car.
Could have been a coinctdence, or you may have knocked something loose around the oil filter. I would still have someone check the fuel pressure before and after cranking.
It isn't doing it anymore and I still have that same oil in there. I have always had a starting issue with the car but not the sluggishness. I called around a lot of places yesterday and was told that since I have an old car and I put a thicker oil, that it is possible my car can't run on thick oil. And my car calls for API Service SG oil.

most likelly it is your fuel pump is not puting godd fuel pressure
have the fuel pressure test and if it is low have the fuel pump and filter replaced

I had the same problem with my 95 Lesabre. The owners manual says to take the key out, and wait 3 minutes(until the light goes off). It should fire right up.

several things to check out:
get it started and go have the battery, alternator, and voltage regulator tested. No charge at most parts stores.
IF they all test ok then you will need to remove the starter and have it tested. The solenoid could be bad. Was it wet outside the day it wouldnt start? if so then oisture is probably getting into the solenoid.

First, have your daughter listen for vacuum leaks (young females generally have the best high frequency hearing) They will sound like a very high pitched whistle. Next, look for vacuum hoses that are damaged and leaking. Next, clean the throttle body. Remove the hose that goes from the air cleaner to the throttle body. Hold the throttle plate open and spray some throttle body cleaner (available at an auto parts store) in and scrub with an old toothbrush -- don't forget the top. There are other things, but these are the easy, common, obvious first tries.
