Ran it out of fuel, now refueled it won't start. 6 cylinder, fuel injected, gasoline engine. Fuel pump runs, starter cranks. Computer flash-codes:12,12,12,12... (no faults).

pull the starter away from the bellhousing and turn the drive end upwards then it will come out from the engine compartment tight i know but i have just done mine so i know it will come
SOURCE: cranks, but no start. spark and fuel good, no
cam timming is possibly out due to gear reduction set up in heads
suggest remove rocker covers and make sure cam lobes are in this possition as well as all other timming marks luckily these engines (V6) are free wheeling (wont bend valves) set up like pic below

Need a bit more information to go on as there is no injector pump on a 4JX1 its a rail type engine .
You can get flash codes to come up on the engine check light from the OBDII socket by connecting pin 4 to pin 6 and turning the key to ign on . the light will flash - count the flashes gonna be something like 4 then 3 and maybe some other depends on how many faults you got.
If you get none then try my tips .

Discovered also that there was no spark and no actual fuel being injected.
