In the center of each valvecover is a well with a wire in it each wire has a seal cap attached pull up and youll find a stem which goes down a tube this is part of the spark plug wire the plugs are at the bottom of this tube youll need a long adapter on your wrench and socket for this job and you can extract the plug using the wires stem

Well, if it isnt broke, well you know the rest. As a kid in the shop we were directed to add dextron 3 to the fuel to decarbonize an engine. I have practiced this and my ford 5.8 that just hit 280,000 .. Cant say that was it, but point being it didnt hurt it. They actually make a old school fuel additive called Marvel Mystery Oil, It is Dextron 3 mostly. The oil consumption test you can do, Do a oil change , after 1000 mi. drain it and see that you have what you put in. That is what they are charging you too do. Is it worth it? umm, no

After market spark plugs could be the problem.
Reinstall the old plugs and see if that fixes it.
This vehicle has an ion sensing ignition system and is real sensitive to the proper spark plugs. I would get the proper plugs from the dealer if the old ones work.
The codes P1311 and P1312 are ion sensing codes.
SOURCE: diagnostic code for isuzu rodeo p1125,p1295, and
P1125 is: Throttle Positioning Sensor intermittent.
P1295 is: Multiple faults on bank 1 (right)
P1550 is: Power steering pressure sensor out of self test range.
Well the ECM recognizes 3 codes. Were these codes stored as inactive (in the history section)? Or are these codes all active? Code P1125 and P1295 may be related but P1550 is separate. How else may I help?
