There are two fuse's , one is in the under hood fuse /relay center or as ford calls it Battery junction block and one in the central junction block Blown fuse(s): Battery junction box (BJB) Fuse 6 (15A) and central junction box (CJB) Fuse 18 (5A ,on the lids are the # locations .Are you saying that nothing lights , radio, heater controls , back lighting for the instrument cluster . No check engine light, or any other warning lights . Do all the gauges work ? CJB is located left side of dash . Check the fuse's !
Could be a fuse, but to be sure take it into a shop and have them run a diagnostic on it. If they ask you to pay, call another shop. Or you can take it over to Auto Zone and they'll run one for you for free. If they can't tell you anything you'll have to bring it to a shop where they have more sophisticated diagnostic tools.
Okay...I've answered this question about 100 times. And anyone that's listened to me has fixed their problem. I know it sounds unconventional...but trust me because you have nothing to lose at this point. Go out to the vehicle...turn the key on the run position...hit the dashboard above the steering wheel hard. Not hard enough to break it or you...but hard. A couple times if necessary. Everything should spring to life. What usually happens is the instrument cluster plug (contact) becomes corroded and loses contact. Either that or the solder joints have become compromised and lost contact. It'll mean that you'll have to replace the instrument cluster. Are the lights by the heater control flashing? I suggest this as a diagnostic application only. Try it and then get back to me. If it works, which it should...PLEASE leave a comment and rate my assistance. Had someone done it in the past, you would know that it works and fixed it already. You can check my comments from waaaaaaay back. One of the Fixya experts tried it and left a comment. It works (a day, week, month, year it depends). It's not a new vehicle and money in your pocket is found money. Thanks.
