Check power levels and then try and jump it. If nothing you may have a short thats some that is hard to trace back check all point of contact all the way to spark plugs make sure you are getting firer to the plugs. You may have to take it in. Now make sure the new starter is in line properly

SOURCE: alarm system won't reset, car won't start

I had a similar problem with my '97 Trek. It took me quite a while to get the sequence of events straight that caused the fuse to blow. I finally found the problem had to do with applying the E-Brake.
I discovered the wires that run to the remote trunk release in the console had come loose from the clip. The wires got pinched in the e-brake handle and shorted blowing the fuse. Look there you may be suprised what you find..

SOURCE: car will not start

Recheck the battery, the starter doesn't care if your battery gives 12 volts, it needs CCA (Cold Cranking Amps),  Autozone will test this for free where I live, most likely where you live too.

When trying to start my car its making a shinning noise and wont crank what could it be?

I assume you are referring to spinning sound, which is starter motor, and not knowing what model vehicle you are talking about, all I can do is give general idea what is wrong. 99% of the time it is your bendix drive on starter motor which is a solenoid activated gear which engages your starter motor with fly wheel gear. It is a pretty easy fix depending on car, sometimes it is the connection on starter, so check connection for corrosion, try tugging on it. Good luck.

1998 lincoln clicks wont start

by the sound of it,the starter motor solenoid is faulty,or there is a bad cable connection first check the cables from the starter motor to see if there in good condition ie, not loose or frayed.check battery,if there OK you will have to get the starter motor checked out at your local garage

Ford focus wont start

Check the make sure the battery connectors are connected. Sometimes the cable comes loose from the battery. Check your battery see if a jump will start it. If it does it could be your battery.

Truck wouldnt start battery was replaced and when i get in before i put key in there is a ticking sound that stops for a few seconds and then starts again and wont turn over although cauges and radio work....

Sounds like either the starter motor is going out or the electrical wiring going to the starter is bad. Take it to a shop and have them inspect it, this problem will only get worse until the car will not start up any more.

Wont fire up. sounds like it's going to start but just wont turn

Hi,
It could be a couple of things:
  1. The starter motor needs repairing.
  2. The starter relay maybe faulty.
If you can get it to a good Autoelectrician they will definitely find the problem quite quickly. 9 times out of 10 its either the battery is faulty or the starter motor needs repairing. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

Car wont start, acts like battery is dead. battery shows full charge. full lights, buzzers, etc. put it on charger-didnt start...cleaned cable connections-didnt start...tried to jump with truck-didnt...

Check the battery +12v power connection to the starter is in good order,
Check the ground connection between the battery negative and the engine/starter motor is robust and intact.
If no problem with above, replace the starter motor.

Car wouldnt start replace ignition switch, clutch switch then starter worked for 2 days now starter clicks but wont start left overnight car starter but when turned off wont restart

sounds like there is a dead spot in the starter. i think the other stuff may not have needed to be replaced. when the car won't start, have someone try to start while you TAP the starter with a hammer.- probably the starter, though.

My car wont start after replacing spark plugs

Check that you have pushed the spark plug wires fully home on the spark plug. If it's not turning it could be the solenoid that connects the battery to the starter motor when trying to start or simply a flat battery. Check battery first, check solenoid by listening to a click sound, check starter motor for connections check any related fuses.
