Have you looked to see if the bulbs need to be changed , if you have it might be a blown fuse or the wiring could be messed up

SOURCE: 2000 honda civic Brake lights do not work

Did U use the bulb contact/grease **** that autozone & advanced auto always try to sell ya? If so, any more than a VERY VERY light smear, will keep thre from being contact between the socket and bulb. OR >> sometimes the 'wrong bulb' can do that and even convince you that your cars computer is haunted or something. OR >> . I'm sure yo checked your fuses? Both fuse boxes, (or some vehicals have even more, BUT...???) While your with the fuses, use a multi meter to check them. Sometimes they look good and then actually they arent. OR >>>> I've have one of the million metal plates, laid one on top of the other to make thew circuits within the fuse box. Don't let anyone solder a fuse in there. Its easy enough to staighten them out again. Just be careful not to drop them, or mix them up.
Good luck - Jeanebop

Brake lights and 3rd brake light are not working

If all the lights have gone off it is most likely the fuse has blown. Try this website to show you where the fuse is most likely to be.

Where is the brake relay on a 2000 tahoe

No relay in the wiring diagram. There is a 20amp hazard fuse and a 10amp vehicle stop fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
If those fuses are good, and the brake light switch checks out ok, I would look at the turn signal switch next.

Brake and tail lights not working, probably a fuse but we don't have the owners manual to determine which fuse to check

on the 2002 tahoe, the brake light fuse is a 10 amp located on the top row center. the fuses for the parking lights are located in the convenience box under the hood on the driver side wheel well. there should be a decal label on the covers.

99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!

Right rear brake light and turn indicator won't work, but tail light does work. Can I just replace the center bulb to fix all?

the trun signal and brake light are on the same bulb or element the running light is in a different bulb single element some cars have three bulbs with one element and they are 1157 1156 and so on.

My rear side brakelights dont work but the center one up top does

The reason that your side brakes do not work is because your brake light switch has gone out. Your particular brake light switch has two lines going out of it which is what makes it so you still have your center brake light. The switch is located on the pedal and is fairly easy and cheap to replace. Replace it and your brake lights will be back to normal. Let me know if you have any further questions about this. Thanks for using FixYa!
