On the 2007 Mountaineer, the parking brake release handle should be located just underneath the OBDII port along the door opening on the driver's side underneath the dash and instrument panel.

It depends , what's the RPO - regular production order code ? Call the dealer with the code an they can tell you . Or hook up a up scale scan tool . one that will talk with all the modules on the computer . You could down load Forscan to you lap top an go on ebay an by a ELM327 wi-fi , this plugs into you OBD2 connector on the vehicle an communicates with the forscan scan tool . The reason of P1565 OBD-II Engine Trouble Code is P1565 Speed Control Command Switch Out of Range High. An ASE certified mechanic can read this and adjust or fix it.

It can be faulty switch or its issue with lift gate latch.Its got stuck up hard or cracked inside.It has to be inspected.-----------

sometimes you have to wigle the OBD 2 connector on the tester. Sometimes, you have a tool that does not communicate with your OBD 2 system. Go to Autozone and have them do a free scan to see if their tester works.

Fuse 17, 25 amp, yellow in dash fuse panel supplies 12v

PIN 16 Orange, lower right I think is 12v all the time.

Fill oil up until the check engine light goes off. If it doesn't go off by itself, have the codes scanned by an OBD-II Scanner for 1996 and up vehicles. Then, if there aren't any significant codes, erase the codes using the OBD-II Scanner.

it means the catalyst is worn out, the efficiency is monitored by sensors, when the Cat falls below a certain reading or "threshold" the code is generating telling u that u need a new catalytic converter.

Not much of one but your speedometer might be be a few MPH high.
