91 olds cutlass ciera 3.3 speedometer cuts out while driving, check engine light comes on and motor runs rough

Any after market electronics put on? on the engine harness maybe there are a couple connectors that got put in wrong place? any transmission or engine work done to it lately?

i would check the fuel injectors early style injectors always do what ur explaining when they fail on a heat soak engine

I have a '93 cutlas. Had same problem up rough idle. I found a loose spark plug. Tightened it and checked the rest. That fixed the problem. Good luck and happy motoring.

Hello, I have 1996 Ciera with rebuilt engine pretty new, also fuel filter and fuel pump replaced but I have a problem, the car starts and runs well cold but once car has been running for a few hours, either stopping or coming to a stop it starts to idle roughly and has come to a stop at different occasions. Check engine light does come on and off occasionally. Can you help?

have the egr valve checked it may be sticking

Sounds like idle air control or cam position sensor. Throttle control valve(sensor)?

speed sensor on the transmission.

The drive cable in your power antenna is broken. You should be able to unplug the motor or cut the ground wire. The motor is on the bottom of your antenna, under the fender.

have you replaced the tps sencer

the filter is under the car twords the rear you will need a 5/8 wrench and a vise grip work best
