SOURCE: 2003 saturn L300 3.0 Ltr AC clutch will not engage

From what I understand from the dealer, the L series has an issue with a/c compressors. My 2001 LW300 had the same problem. Usually the clutch coil is bad. If you take the 2 wire plug off your compressor and put power to one pin and ground to the other the clutch should lock. If not, replace the clutch. You can buy an aftermarket clutch for about $130. Hopefully your compressor is easier to get at than mine. Good Luck.

ACwont work unless its jumped bypassing the ac relay sw, diagnostic test code 23 blend dr actuator failure, but all vents work

there are pressure switches in the system that stop power to the relay when the system has a failure
high pressure or low pressure switches for blockage in the TX valve or lost refrigerant gas, no fan operation on the condenser all will cut out the relay for the compressor
Best have the system checked by an accredited ac specialist shop first and get a quote

I am trying to troubleshoot my 2002 saturn l200. My AC is not working. The button light comes on, but I feel the compressor not coming on. I check the fuse and it's ok?

most likely you are low on freon and the pressure switch will not allow the compressor clutch to engage. one way to tell if that is what is happening is to find the pressure switch located on the low pressure side of the system. you can tell witch line is the low pressure side because it is larger in diameter than the high side. Then take a wire and jump the two wires that go to the switch together. If the compressor starts to run then charge the system with freon. If it does not run then check the relay.

If everything has power but no power to ac clutch is that a bad low press switch

Could be. On some models the pressure switch sends a signal to the computer which grounds a relay to power the compressor clutch.
You would really need a wiring diagram for the system to see how the system is powered.

2005 Kia Optima..no voltage going down to the compressor clutch. Checked all the fuses in care and underhood. Ive looked and looked and cant find the pressure cutoff switch. Anyone know where its at o

There should be a pressure switch on one side or the other of the condenser. According to Kia it is a triple pressure clutch switch which cuts power to the clutch if the pressure is too low or too high. In previous years car companies used two switches, one in each line.
I would check that for voltage. If the system is charged with freon, you should have voltage going in and out of the sensor.

My ac stop working,I checked compressor ,it's ok ,no power to compressor

Some possible causes are the system is low on freon, a faulty compressor clutch, faulty low pressure switch, relay, fuse, or control switch.
Do you have power at the fuse and the relay ?

What's your problem?ac compressor clutch has no power 95 blazer, all fuses are good, all relays are good, where do I look next?

make sure there is free-on in the system.{there has to be an ample amount of free-on in the system to turn on the compressor.}1. disconnect the high pressure switch. take a jumper wire and jump the pins. compressor should come on. if compressor comes on the switch is bad.

HIGH PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH LOCATED ON AC COMPRESSOR DISCHARGE LINE LEADING TO THE CONDENSOR.THE HIGH PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH WILL CUT OFF THE AC COMPRESSOR IF SYSTEM PRESSURE RISES TO HIGH CAUSED BY RESTRICTION IN THE REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT OR OVERHEATED CONDENSOR.MAKE SURE COOLING FAN IS RUNNING WHEN THE AC SWITCH IS ON.THE COOLING FAN KEEP CONDENSOR COOL, IF COOLING FAN DONT RUN.YOUR AC WILL STOP BLOWING COLD AIR.HAVE THE REFRIGERANT SYSTEM CHECK OUT.MAKE SURE YOUR LOW SIDE PRESSURE IS 10 - 37 PSI. THE HIGH SIDE PRESSURE SHOULD BE 112 - 210 PSI. CHECK THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH FUSE AND RELAY.

YOU COULD HAVE OPEN OR SHORT IN THE BLACK YELLOW WIRE GOING TO AC COMPRESSOR CYCLING PRESSURE SWITCH. CHECK FOR A SHORT OR OPEN IN RED YELLOW WIRES AT THE AC PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH. USE VOLT METER AND CHECK FOR VOLTAGE AT BOTH SWITCHES. PROBLEM COULD BE IN THE EATC MODULE THAT SEND POWER TO PURPLE WIRE THAT FEEDS THE AC PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH AND AC CLUTCH CYCLING PRESSURE SWITCH THEN FEEDS THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH SOLENOID.

No power going into clutch airconditioning unit how do I find the problem?

Hello snake
The first place to check is the low pressure cutoff switch, on the a/c
acumulator at the right side firewall. With the engine off and the key on
turn on the a/c to low. Remove the plug from cutoff sw, use a jumper wire to make a connection of the terminals in the plug. If the comp clutch engages, the system needs to be charged(most common) or the
cutoff switch is bad. If the compressor clutch won't engage when jumped you can post again or give us a call and we'll dig deeper into the
system. But I hope this helps. Good luck.

The ac compressor clutch does stay on

Hello narto7
If you replaced the compressor yourself and tried to charge the system with those booster cans from the parts store, then air and moisture remained in the system. This will prevent you from getting the correct
charge and the correct pressure in the system. This can cause the lowpressure cutoff (on the accumulator right side of firewall) or depending on how much R134 was put in) the high pressure cutoff (on the compressor) to cut power to the compressor clutch assy. If this is
the case, have the system evacuated and charged with the proper
equipment and that should clear it up. However if it was charged properly, check the 2 cutoff switch's I mentioned. There should be power in and power out on both with the a/c on. There is also a relay
for the a/c you can check. But due to the split year in 95 it's located in
1 of 2 places, in the fuse relay block under the hood or under the right
side of the dash above the glove box. Remove the box for easier access. Hope this helps
