While driving at 40 miles per hour the car sputters
So, here's what you have to do - it's a frikkin tranny reset!!
Drive in manual mode M5 for 5 minutes at over 60MPH, then switch it to
M6 for 1 minute, then back to M5 for 2 minutes, then back to auto.
Note: the car is going to sputter continuously when you have it on M5 for the 5 minutes.
That was it - drove around for 30 minutes afterwards and no issues what so ever!! Unbelievable!!!

sounds like a fuel pump problem, with fuel pumps u can have pressure but not enough volume, try goin up a steeper hill in 2nd gear and get about 3000 rpms on the engine and see if it really drops out bad and is really gutless,if that happens without a check engine light coming on it might be yur pump and u should also replace the fuel filter at the same time, hope this helps

first thing is the engine light on?
these cars had problems with the on plug ign coils and if this is a misfire the comp will tell you which cyl is the problem.

There is no points or condenser on a 92 accord, check the fuel pressure first, maybe a complete tune-up will help

I would try to replace your spark plugs, and spark plug wires, My 88 Vic did the same thing...now it runs like a champ....you could also try fuel injector cleaner.

This could be fuel filter clogged and/or impurities in the fuel system, fuel injection not adjusted properly or faulty coil. Hope this helps.
