if the car is stilling running hot check the antifreeze overflow bottle for a crack and to answer your question start the car and get it to normal temp while it is still running you open the overflow bottle fill it to the cold mark and keep adding coolant until all the bubbles are out of the system and put the cap back on right away

SOURCE: car stalls while moving, then after 2-5 minutes starts back up

disconnect the fuel filter at both ends to see if the filter is clogged. If you are not getting any fuel on either end then you should get a new fuel pump.

SOURCE: I CAN NOT OPEN THE DRIVER DOOR PASAGER DOOR AND REAR DOOR BY KEY

If ur drivers door locks easy and unlocks easy inside it is your lock cylinder. This tells me if you bought the van used it was probably wrecked at one point. door replaced. If you have had it sence new try taking it to a body shop and have them remove it from the door and lube it up.

I have a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer when i'm driving down the road with the gas pushed in or the cruise control on it drives perfect shifts kinda hard tho but when i let off the gas or turn the cruise...

It could be your shift solenoid, or the wiring assembly for the shift solenoid, Ford has a TSB for it, it could also be a valve body gasket, I know the older explorers/mountaineers had issues with those as well.

Sticking in park

I drive the mercury villager 98 and often have that problem as well, I have found that pumping the break at different pressures frequently help to shift but don't know of a permanent solution, hope this helps though

I live in Ohio and my 1998 Mercury Villager wont pass E-Check . They said it is the pressure control solenoid . I need to know where the pressure control solenoid is located and where I can buy one .

The transmission pressure control solenoid? On the valve body inside the transmission pan. VB will need to be removed and all solenoids replaced ( the come as a set wired together). Will need some skill and experience to do this job successfully.

I have a 1999 mercury villager that has a slight misfire P303

First clean the MAF sensor with carb cleaner several times with spray.

Then spray short bursts around intake manifold connections to see if idle flares up. That is where leak is.

I have a 1997 Mercury villager mini van. When I shift into reverse there is a loud clunk from trani area. When in drive van won't move.

no keep in mind i cannot test drive your vehicle but here are some possibilitys and i dont know if this just happend all of a sudden either. well it is commen for the Axel shafts to break on front wheel drives over a few years and yes this will cause a cluncking noise and will not let the vehicle move. and if it has had shifting problems prior it could be the Trany itself. but i am willing to bet that the CV shaft has broke on you
hope this helps you out
please leave a Rating for me
Thank you

1998 S70 manual (wont change gear until idle is under 2500rpm)

Being it is a manual transmission and the engine was removed, it is likely the clutch and pressure plate not releasing completely at high rpms.
