Front suspension on my kangoo is really springy for some reason. Only done 16k mls since new

The ride from the drivers seat is really, really soft for some reason. Its like sitting on a one enormous gentle spring. Makes my belly jiggle when going over bumps! :-)

Sounds like the shocker is worn and will need replacing. to do this you need to use a spring compressor and these should only used by a trained fitter

if this helpslet me know

cheers mike .

The only areas that would have this issue are the struts or the support arms. Check the dampers in the struts.

I replaced my shocks on my 1998 dodge durango and I want to know what else can I do for a smoother ride. I also noticed after replacing the shocks that I hear a squeking noise while driving up front on the...

First, check the ball joints-might be the source of your squeak and could certainly explain the movement of that wheel-if it fails while in service, it can be disasterous, so make sure they are not the reason of your 'looseness'. As for the squeak, if not caused by the ball joints, check bushings especially the sway bar bushings and the upper and lower control arms for damaged or missing rubber. A smooth ride does depend on tight suspension components and your choice of shocks also can affect it-too stiff= harsh ride, too soft=wallowing ride.

52 plate BMW 320td compact front wheels wande on rough suface or ruts up to 40mph after that ok tracking done, suspension arms done can it be hard pofile michelin tyres. Also fuel consumption not good...

You say the suspension arms were done. Does that mean that you replaced the front control arms and got both new ball joints and a new control arm bushing on each side?
I presume that they checked for excessive play in the bearings at the tops of the struts while they had the control arms off?
Are we talking about following rain grooves cut in the pavement, or about following seams and traffic grooves? Following rain grooves is a trait of the tires. Following major seams and grooves is usually control arm bushings. If it is still unacceptable with new rubber bushings, you may want to try polyurethane control arm bushings. Poly bushings are getting popular among BMW owners for exactly this reason.
BMW uses firm control arm bushings on M3s, but very soft control arm bushings on everything else, even when they install optional 'sport' suspension.

My car is riding really hard over bumps; what do you think is wrong?

definetely shock absorbers! when they are getting old even they are not loosing oil, since they have been used on a pretty constant space(suspension travel) they start to be lazy on other suspension travel lenghts when riding on bumps and pits. they simply cant absorb as fast as the car rides on bumps. i suggest reasonably priced monroe sensatrac shock absorbers for daily driver.

plus, check your tire inflation and tire condition. (older tires get harder)
