I was cleaning my car and had the seat all the way forward, then the motor stopped working. Is there a way to manually back the seat? I've already put alot of $ into the car on repairs the last year and dont want to buy a new power seat if i can just get the thing all the way back.

There are 2 options of power seat systems available in full size trucks. The 6 way driver and passenger power seats, and 8 way driver and passenger power seats with driver memory. For the driver memory seat operation refer to Memory Seats Description and Operation . Power seats without memory are completely controlled through the power seat switch. Battery voltage is supplied to the power seat switch through the power seat circuit breaker. While the seat adjuster switches are in an inactive state the switch contacts are closed to the power seat switch ground circuit. When a power seat switch is pressed to an active state the switch contact is closed to the battery voltage supply circuit. Each seat adjuster motor is controlled by the power seat switch through 2 motor control circuits. The seat adjuster motors are bidirectional and the direction of adjuster motor rotation is determined by which of the adjuster motor control circuits is switched to battery voltage while the other remains grounded.

if there was no electrical work done on it you don't need a diagram it sounds like you need to unplug the seats connector clean it and use conductive grease on the female part of it a little grease goes a long way if still no luck go to the switch for the seat and do the same thing this should solve the problem it's not the cable because the seat uses the same one to go forward and back and it's not the motor so either the switch has a dirty connector or the contacts inside the switch need to be lubed or it needs to be replaced altogether or the seat motor connector needs to be cleaned and lubed either way this sounds like a contact problem make sure they are shiny clean then lubricate with carbon conductive grease not dielectric that's the wrong stuff and it will stop the contact from being made you can also use those emery board nail files that your mom or girls use they can be trimmed to fit inside and do a great job of sanding away electrical oxidation and contact burns that stop the electrical current from going through the switch they need to be shiny and lubricated have fun and good luck you should find your problem now post back with results o.k.stephen
There are 2 motors under the seat that control how it moves (one for forward/back and one for up/down) Check to make sure the connections are still connected/clean. If they are then your motor burnt out or there is something jamming the rollers on the track the seat rides on.
if going backward is working,and foward is not,, easy ,1st determine what is defective-so u know what to replace/repair-2 things only ,[1-switch or 2- motor under d seat] by presing the backward swicth,, you can hear the sound of the motor running and u can see the seat is going backward... 1-now by pressing the foward switch, and you hear the motor running but not that strong like the rear ..and the seat move an inche /a little and stop,,.then u have a defect weak motor, 2- now by pressing the foward swicth and u dont hear any motor running then the switch is most likely defective defective switch -repair- spray contact cleaner,remove cover switch,penetrate inside defective motor-repair-remove motor replace inside carbon,,.chiepest way not to spend to much money.. i suggest even once a month,lubricate all power seat/even not powerseat/,door hinges/.trunk door/.power antenna./ .by spraying lubricating oil,. for maintanace,..you can save a lot..
Try swapping motors not brushes,maybe the motors are the same just in diffrent positions,it wouldnt be cost effective to have diffrent motors for the same job just diffrent positions,im tipping they will be the same pull seat out or lookcarefully in the car to see
It is most definitely the seat slide motor. Most infiniti drivers seats have three different motors. I30, I35's and QX4's all had problems with the seat slide motors. You can tap on the slide motor which is under the front of the seat and it will probably work for a little while, but it WILL stop working completely. There was actually a Technical Service Bulletin regarding this issue because there were so many vehicles that had this problem. I hate to see that guy waste money trying to get a circuit board rebuilt that absolutely will not solve the problem.
Motor on the seat may have gone out, contacts in switch got dirty or worn, or assembly reached limit and stuck. Try sitting in it pushing back hard and adjust. If not youll need to replace switch,b take seat apart to fix or replace.
