Belt diagram I need a belt diagram for a 2001 Ford escort zx2. chilton and haynes books don't have picture.. My hood doesn't have it either. I got one off the internet 2 years ago but can't find it. Desperatly need help..

The picture is for a zetec. Let me know if wrong diagram?

This is a non-interference engine. Anyone saying anything different is using an old book. Some Ford dealers might even tell you it is interference. There are reliefs cut into the top of the pistons to clear the valves if the belt breaks. There is a how-to posted here and on Team ZX2 .com

do it yourself books , haynes, chilton , check half price book stores for your make and model . then try auto parts store , they also may be able to pull a diagram up and show you at the store

If you buy your belt from Autozone the belt routing is on the package,If you already bought the belt you could always buy one from AutoZone and then return it after you use the routing.

Start at the crankshaft, and just go flat to flat, ribs to ribs, and you'll get it. You may still have to try a couple of ways.

go down too your local auto part store and grab a manual HAYES OR CHILTONS what ever one they have, that will have your diagram for all motors vtech 2.0 - 1.9- 1.9 H.O. Also there very handy for a lot of questions as well cost about 10$
