If you swerve the car back and forth and the sound dissapeers when swerving to the left( reducing the weight on front left tire) this could indicate a wheel bearing problem

SOURCE: Steering wheel vibration and whine noise from rear of car

Yes, and it probably is your wheel bearing. Hearing a sound like a chain dragging is classic. You may also hear a clicking noise or chain dragging noise when turning to the left or right.

Look under the car and see if the rubber boots that surround the axle near the tires are cracked and leaking grease. If so, it is almost a certainty that the bearings are bad as you have lost grease and thus lubrication to the bearings.

Good luck,
bob

SOURCE: vibration in the steering wheel on a 4wd truck

I just had the same issue with a 1999 2500HD and the vibration got worse above 50 mph. Problem was resolved with a new driveshaft. Old one (aluminum) was badly out of true and the problem didn't really occur until I had the U joints changed - then bent driveshaft vibration was noticeable. New driveshaft resolved issue.

SOURCE: car has about 60,000 miles

Assuming tires were properly balanced you may wish to have an inspection of your front end which includes shocks/struts, suspension components like tie rods and stabilizer links, they can also check for camber/caster in your tires (tires either angled inwards/outwards slightly), You can get an alignment done rather cheaply as well and that should correct your problem provided all items listed are in good working condition. Good luck

While driving when you turn the wheel slightly to the right you hear a noise with some vibration. front tires and brakes are new. could this be cv joints or struts?

Need more info but sounds like power steering gearbox or cv joints. What happens when you turn all the way left or right? Is it worst or better and what do the noises sound like? Whining or grinding?

2006 Pontiac G6 front wheel vibration

sounds like your front end is worn out and yes tie rod ends are a common source of this problem along with out of balance tires and seperated tire cords, any tire store will inspect your car for free and give you an estimate to repair.

When excelerate to 70 mph my steering wheel vibrates. What should I do?

This is very common. It can either be your tires need to be balanced. Or your car needs to be aligned at an alignment center. One or the other should stop the vibration.
