Traction control light comes on and car starts to shift hard. replaced camshaft position sensor per trouble codes found. light came back on and car is shifting hard once again. I hate this **** car. It has been nothing but problems
Follow Ken Williams lead. If your traction control light comes on and your transmission "bangs" into gear as you drive, try your fuse panel first (mine's an '06 under the hood, don't know if other years have different panel locations) and reset all the fuses and relays. Just gently but firmly push them back into position. This might save you costly parts and labor that may not be necessary. Most of my fuses were loose too. Fixed! Thanks Ken!

After searching around, I found several posts that suggested reseating all the relays and fuses under the hood. After checking, I noticed nearly all of them were not seated well. I pushed them all down and I haven't had the problem since.

i fixed mine by pulling each and every fuse in all the fuse boxes and replacing them with new ones. the hhr fuses have a tendency to work loose and cause all kinds of little problems. i searched the forums for the answer to the traction control light problem and never found an answer that worked until i talked to a "shade tree" mechanic in my area and he told me to do the fuse thing. been a month now and no more problems.
Testimonial: "The comments I left are the solution. The fuse thing does not do anything. It's a red herring. I replaced only the one that's associated with P0010 and It's been months."

Going through the same thing with mine since I bought it brand new w/ 27 miles and thats not thousand. Any answers would be huge to help out my good ol' mrgoodwrenches who have no idea what is going on. So far all of the above have been done including the tranny check and fluidchange and pressure flush, the airflow sensors, the electronic throttlebody unit, the left and right O2 sensors, and now the electronic fuel injectors. Light is still coming on.

Stand in fromnt of the car, the cam shaft position module is located on the front of the engine to the right hand side just below the fuel rail.

It NEVER was the camshaft sensor! Unless, you've removed the engine lately, which I doubt.
RUN to Advance Auto Parts and buy a can of "SeaFoam" and add to your gas tank per instructions...drive at least 100 miles and the problem should go away...IF it doesn't you'll have to replace the O2 sensors in the exhaust system...Any good mechanic should be able to do this for much less $$ than the dealership DO NOT go to the dealer for repairs!
Good Luck
