SOURCE: no power to fuel pump

Besides the fuses there is also a fuel pul relay. should be located under the hood in one of the relay and fuse boxes. It should be listed on the chart on the inside of the relay/fuse box cover.

SOURCE: '89 Jeep Comanche Fuel pump not pumping fuel.

If the pump is running with the key on, and you have a hose coming from the pump with no obstructions in the way (such as a fuel filter) and there is no fuel coming out of that open hose, then you need to remove the pump and find out why. It cannot run without pumping something out of the hose (unless you have it connected to the wrong hose (vent or return line) Voltage is important, but if it's running even if volts are low, it still will move some fuel.

SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L Fuel Pump/Check engine light

Could be one of several items...I'd check the fuel pump relay, auto shutdown relay and the ignition switch itself. I'd bet on it being one of those relays but, we all have been fooled at least once!!! I'd also make sure that body and engine grounding is good and clean. Relays can't work properly without a good ground.

When i turn the key on the fuel pump don't run why?

There should be battery voltage at the fuel pump. Check the battery voltage at the fuel pump relay to be sure that there is power coming from the battery. Check voltage at fuel pump fuse.

94 jeep wrangler runs 45 seconds then shuts down

You will have to figure out what is quitting when the engine stops.
If you are loosing fuel to the injectors, it could be a pump relay, or something with the injectors.
If you can spray carb cleaner into the throttle body and keep it running, look for a fuel problem.

Xterra car quit running. had no spark @ distributor. replaced crank sensor and got spark. no gas pressure. replaced fuel pump, new one do not work. no power to it. checked fuses/relays, no luck. ran...

the fuel pump fuse is fuse #1 15amp in the inside fuse box ( left side of dash behind fuse box cover ) the fuel pump relay is behind left side of dash ------- cavity #2 & #5 at the relay should have battery voltage in start and run cavity # 3 is the power out to fuel pump and cavity #1 is the ground that is turned on by the on board commputer.

Fuel pump humming

Hi Bill,

I've got a 91 Wrangler. I'm not sure what your problem is though.

I assume you have the 4.0l fuel injected straight six.

Is the fuel pump on all the time?

Does the car run?

Could you comment back with a bit more detail about the problem?

Thanks
Mike
