How do I get to the turn signal relay on my 2002 Ford Explorer? It appears to be located on the BACK side of a fuse panel.

I believe the fuse for your starter is in the power distribution box, 93 explorer 4.0L 4X4. find diagram for this in Chilton Ford Ranger/Explorer/Mountaineer 1991-1999 Repair Manual 26688 page 6-43 Fig.88 Be aware that there are (4) figures for the 93 4.0L explorer and each shows a different part of the same engine wiring. See top right 'power distribution box' follow lines to the part of your engine you are concerned with, which fuse number, then look inside your engine, passenger fender, push down on the protective ?wall then pull the cover up, see your diagram and fuse numbers. The diagram for inside fuse box, page 6-31 fig.63 I hope this helps

The 2 fuses are no 10 (7.5amp) and no 21(15amp) in the interior fuse panel.The flasher is located on the base of steering column under dash. See this this pic find connector c214 on bottom 3rd from right.

Aside from the fuses, your drive side power door lock may be failing to work because of a bad door-lock relay system, or, alternatively, the locking switch/button, itself, is not malfunctioning and in need of replacement.

Check the fuse panel first, after that check your fuse relays under the hood, if not then it might be a wiring problem.
The flasher relay is on the top side of the fuse panel which is
located under the dash on the driver's side. The owner's manual
suggests seeing the dealer for servicing of the relay box because the
fuse panel has to be moved to gain access.

Figured it out: remove 3(7mm) bolts holding fuse panel in place. Unplug 2 wiring harnesses width assistance of a standard post screwdriver. Unbolt (10mm) wiring harness and unplug. Twrist ,rotate,flip fuse panel to get to back side ofanel to replace turn signal relay ($12). Reverse order to reinstall.
